WATCH: Jill Biden Claims Trump 'Can't Put A Sentence Together' Ahead Of Debates

During an appearance on ABC's 'The View,' First Lady Jill Biden argued that presumptive GOP nominee Donald Trump isn't going to be able to "put a sentence together" during his upcoming debate with her husband next month.

"I think the American people deserve a debate because you need to see your choices," First Lady Jill Biden said. "You need to see Trump, and you need to see the president, and you need to see the differences. And my husband's, and you're gonna see how smart he is and the experience he has. And then you'll see somebody who, like you're saying — I'm going to use Joy's words — 'can't put a sentence together, and everything is beautiful and it's wonderful."

In response to the first lady's comments, Trump campaign spokeswoman Karoline Leavitt told The New York Post, "With all due respect to first lady Jill Biden, her husband is a walking zombie who can't climb up stairs, talk, or read a script off a teleprompter. Rather than go on 'The View' and spew lies about President Trump to save her husband's dying campaign, she should start packing her corrupt family's bags because they'll be leaving the White House very soon."

President Biden has been suffering for months as his poll numbers refuse to reverse themselves in the various swing states, leaving his reelection campaign in shambles. Given these horrible poll numbers, as well as the perception that he is an elderly man unable to keep up with the mental demands of the presidency, the Biden campaign decided that a debate would be the best course of action. As previously reported by the DC Enquirer, Biden challenged Trump to a debate earlier this month after the presumptive Republican nominee demanded the 81-year-old Democrat debate him "anytime, anywhere, and anyplace."

"Donald Trump lost two debates to me in 2020, and now he wants to debate me again. Well, make my day, pal. I'll even do it twice. So let's pick the dates, Donald. I hear you are free on Wednesdays," Biden said in his challenge, referencing the Wednesday recess in Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg's (D) case against Trump.

Following Biden's viral video post on X, CNN offered to host the first debate on June 27th. Biden wrote, "I've received and accepted an invitation from @CNN for a debate on June 27th. Over to you, Donald. As you said: anywhere, any time, any place."

According to Brooke Singman, Trump reportedly said, "I'll be there," and said he's "looking forward to being in beautiful Atlanta." The debate will have no live audience, and the moderators have yet to be determined. The debate will air live on CNN, CNN International, CNN en Espanol, CNN Max, and CNN.com.

The second debate, hosted by ABC News, was also scheduled for September 10th. President Biden wrote on X, "I've also received and accepted an invitation to a debate hosted by ABC on Tuesday, September 10th. Trump says he'll arrange his own transportation. I'll bring my plane, too. I plan on keeping it for another four years."
