On Friday, while appearing on Donald Trump Jr.’s show ‘Triggered,’ Rep. Jim Jordan (R-OH) said that he was 100 percent for President Trump’s run for the White House in 2024 and will be backing him in the Republican primaries.
“Well, two things. The way we ultimately get back, not get back, but the way we ultimately remedy it is to make sure President Trump gets elected president in 2024,” Jordan explained.
“And you’ve endorsed Trump already?” asked the eldest Trump son.
“I’m 100 percent. I’m 100 percent,” Jordan responded, adding, “I’ve been for him since day one.”
“That would be awkward right?” said Don Jr., adding, “You’ve always been awesome and we appreciate it.”
“When he announced and before he announced I was encouraging him to announce and run again,” the Ohio Republican stated, concluding, “He’s our guy because he’s proven that he can get things done.”
Jim Jordan joins a host of other lawmakers who have already come out to endorse President Trump for his reelection bid in 2024.
As previously reported by the DC Enquirer, Senators Markwayne Mullin (R-OK), Lindsey Graham (R-SC), Eric Schmitt (R-MO), Tommy Tuberville (R-AL), and J.D. Vance (R-OH) have all come out in support of the 45th president for his run to achieve a second, non-consecutive term in 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue.
Jordan’s full-throated endorsement of Trump comes as recent polling proves Trump is blowing his Republican competition out of the water.
As previously reported by the DC Enquirer, a new Yahoo/YouGov poll showed Trump’s already gigantic lead growing even more, crushing all opponents by a landslide.
The poll, released on Tuesday, was conducted between February 23-27 and revealed Trump has a massive 16-point lead over Florida Governor Ron DeSantis. Trump has gained 8 percent since an earlier YouGov poll taken between February 2-6.
Trump came in first place with 45 percent. DeSantis came in a distant second place with 29 percent. Trump absolutely obliterated the former U.N. Ambassador Nikki Haley, who got a minor four percent, former Secretary of State Mike Pompeo, who got three percent, former Vice President Mike Pence, who received two percent, and finally, former Rep. Liz Cheney who received an impressive one percent.
With Trump taking massive leads in the primary polling, more Republican lawmakers will likely come out in favor of President Trump’s reelection. A unified party is necessary in order to take on Biden in 2024.
