WATCH: Joe Biden Trips Up The Short Stairs While Boarding Air Force One

On Tuesday, President Joe Biden, en route from Joint Base Andrews in Maryland to Los Angeles, California, was seen boarding the short stairs to Air Force One when he suddenly tripped twice. The incident further highlighted his age and made many worried that a similar slip-up could lead to Biden falling and suffering a critical injury.

In footage of the trip, Biden could be seen saluting the two military officers who guarded the short stairs before boarding into the belly of the plane. After making it up five steps, Biden tripped on the sixth and seventh steps before he was able to regain his balance and slowly make his way into the aircraft.

Last year, the Biden campaign made the decision to forego the famous red-carpeted long staircase in order to prevent an embarrassing fall like was seen earlier in Biden's presidency. Biden's age has become top of mind for voters across the country who are worried that the 81-year-old isn't sharp enough to sustain another four years in office.

As previously reported by the DC Enquirer, a recent ABC News/Ipsos survey shows that 86 percent of Americans believe Biden is too old to serve another term in the White House. Amongst that percentage, 59 percent also said that 45th President Donald Trump, who is 77 years old, is too old to serve another four years in the White House.

When broken down by party, 73 percent of Democrats and 91 percent of independents said Biden was too old to serve. For Trump, only 35 percent of Republicans said he was too old. Among independents, a key voting bloc Trump needs to win in November, 71 percent said he was too old to be president again.

President Biden's age will be a major factor that could sink his reelection chances this November. As Biden continues to trip, gaffe, and mumble his way through the presidency, the American people are taking notice. If Biden wants any chance of getting into fighting shape to take on Donald Trump, let alone participate in a debate, then he needs to start shaping up quickly in public; otherwise, his hopes of obtaining a second term, where he would be 86 at its conclusion, will be a fantasy.
