Last week, Joe Rogan, host of the 'Joe Rogan Experience,' presented a compelling theory. He suggested that the Democrat leadership might be strategizing to remove President Joe Biden from the 2024 presidential ticket. Their plan? To replace him with Gov. Gavin Newsom (D-CA), all in an effort to thwart Trump's potential return to the White House. This intriguing prediction from Rogan comes at a time when Biden's popularity is wavering in the polls across various swing states, adding a layer of uncertainty to the political landscape.
Rogan, who comedian Andrew Schulz joined on Saturday, explained his disbelief with the Democrat Party running the 81-year-old incumbent. "The idea that they're going to keep running him is just bananas," the popular podcaster said. "You're going to keep him in there? I can't believe that's real, but as time goes on, I'm starting to think they might actually keep running him."
Schulz chimed in by pointing out the lack of viable options to replace Biden, given the unpopularity of many mainstream Democrats. "I don't know why they would switch him out; they're not in a position to switch him out for anybody," he said. Who steps in?"
"He would have to kick the bucket," Rogan responded before Schulz suggested Gavin Newsom as a potential alternative. "May. I think he's got until May; I feel like right around May, they're going to pull him," Rogan said. "I think he just has health problems, and then the country understands, and Newsom is gonna have his support fully, and Kamala is gonna be like, 'I don't even want to be president; I'm cool with being vice president.'"
The most-popular podcast host in America then explained that Kamala Harris would have to be "kept quiet" given her vast unpopularity with the American public. According to the Five Thirty Eight polling average, Harris only has the approval of 37.1 percent of voters while 52.3 percent dissapprove of her handling of the vice presidency.
While Rogan's prediction of replacing Biden with Newsom may seem far-fetched, the polling data from various swing states for the incumbent president is likely worrying Democrat strategists who want to prevent another Trump presidency.
As previously reported by the DC Enquirer, the poll, which covers March 17-24, shows Trump besting Biden by six points in North Carolina, 48 percent to 42 percent, respectively. The 45th president also holds a strong lead in other states, including Arizona with a five-point advantage, Nevada with a four-point lead, Pennsylvania and Michigan with three-point leads, and Georgia with a one-point lead. The only state currently contested by Biden is Wisconsin, with both candidates tied at 46 percent.
