WATCH: Judge Smiles Ear To Ear, Letitia James Stares As Trump Enters Courtroom - 'This Video From Inside The Courtroom Speaks Volumes'

On Monday, leading Republican presidential candidate and 45th President Donald Trump traveled to New York City to appear in front of Judge Arthur Engoron for his first hearing in the case brought by New York Attorney General Letitia James after the judge ruled that Trump committed fraud by supposedly inflating the value of his properties.

As Trump entered the courtroom and sat for his hearing, New York Attorney General Letitia James (D), who ran her 2018 campaign on prosecuting Donald Trump, was seen staring down the former president.

In addition, Judge Engoron was seen smiling ear to ear as the cameras turned to him which led to significant criticism of the judge online.

"Letitia James promised to prosecute Trump when she ran for AG but couldn't find a crime so she had to make up crap about how MAL is worth less today than when Trump bought it," wrote Greg Price. "And now they're just smiling and laughing as they turn our country into a third world banana republic."

"Leftism as an ideology rejects the entire system of objective law upon which Western Civ stands," former Trump advisor Stephen Miller explained. "To the Left, there are only allies or enemies. And the more they judge someone the latter, the more they will weaponize the “justice” system against them. This is our brave new world."

"We have a serious crisis in our judicial system. So many demons," journalist Julie Kelly wrote.

"Wow. This video from inside the courtroom speaks volumes. Watch NY AG Leticia James stare at Trump. She looks like an obsessive creep. Then watch the Judge smile for his moment in the sun," wrote Robby Starbuck. "These people are deranged, Marxist tyrants."

"The lengths Democrats are willing to go to destroy the republic and rule of law over their seething and obsessive hatred of one man and his supporters is terrifying to contemplate," Mollie Hemingway wrote with a clip of Trump's remarks outside the courtroom.

As previously reported by the DC Enquirer, President Trump slammed Engoron, who was seen with a wide grin as Trump entered the courtroom, as a "rogue judge" in his remarks to the press.

"This is a continuation of the single greatest witch hunt of all time," Trump said. "We have a rogue judge that ruled that properties are worth a tiny fraction, 1/100, a tiny fraction of what they actually are. We have a racist attorney general who's a horror show who ran on the basis that she's going to get Trump before she even knew anything about me."

"It's a scam. It's a sham. Just so you know my financial statements are phenomenal," he explained, adding that his financial statement actually devaluated his actual net worth. He also added that the banks that gave him these loans did not have any problem with Trump's finances or his ability to pay them back.

"No bank was affected. No bank was hurt. They don't even know why they have to be involved," he said. "They can't believe that they are involved because they were paid back on time. There were no defaults. There were no problems. And it was like a perfect client. In the meantime, people are being murdered all over the sidewalks in New York. There was no victim here."

He went on to add that the lawfare against him is "election interference" in an effort to stop him from winning the 2024 election. He also argued that the DOJ has orchestrated these efforts in order to undermine his campaign for the presidency as he continues to rise in the polls.
