WATCH: Marjorie Taylor Greene Sends Powerful Message to Mayor Eric Adams, Democrats At Peaceful Trump Indictment Protest

On Tuesday morning, Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) joined the New York Young Republican Club protest in Manhattan to protest the indictment of 45th President Donald Trump by Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg (D).

During the protest, which remained peaceful despite disruptions by counter-protestors, Greene sent a strong message to Democrats and New York City Mayor Eric Adams after the mayor told Trump’s supporters to ‘behave themselves’ during the protest.

“To Mayor Adams, as you can see I’m standing here peacefully protesting but you called me out by name,” the Georgia lawmaker began. “While you allow crime in your streets and you send your henchmen down here to commit assaults against people by making loud noises.”

“Assault against police officers who are doing their jobs trying to keep everything civil and trying to prevent violence. Democrats are the party of violence,” she explained. “They are the party that enabled and funded and cheered for violent riots all through 2020 and they allowed cities to be burned, $2 billion worth of damage.”

“That’s the Democrat Party,” Greene said. “We’re the party of peace. We’re the party that wants to protest the lives of the unborn. We’re the party of male and female, two genders only. We are the party of secure borders.”

“We’re the party that will bring peace to the world like President Trump did, not World War III like Joe Biden is doing,” the Republican emphasized. “We’re the party of economic prosperity. We’re the party where every American can live the American Dream. Democrats are the communists.”

“They’re destroying America. They’re destroying freedom,” she concluded, adding, “Democrats are the ones that have nothing to campaign for because they are failures and they’re proving it today.”

Greene then went on to thank the NYYRC for organizing the protest, Trump supporters for turning out, and the media for covering the protest before chants of “USA! USA!” broke out.

On Monday, Mayor Adams called upon Greene and Trump supporters to ‘behave themselves’ during the arraignment.

“There will be some rabble-rousers thinking about coming to our city tomorrow, it is clear and simple: control yourselves,” Mayor Adams said during a press conference. “New York City is our home, not a playground for your misplaced anger.”

“We are the safest large city in America because we respect the rule of law in New York City,” the mayor claimed despite overseeing a massive surge in crime in recent years.

“Although we have no specific threats, people like Marjorie Taylor Greene, who is known to spread misinformation and hate speech, stated she is coming to town. While you are in town, be on your best behavior,” he demanded. “As always we will not allow violence or vandalism of any kind. If one is caught participating in any act of violence they will be arrested and held accountable no matter who you are.”

As previously reported by the DC Enquirer, the New York Young Republican Club (NYYRC) will be hosting a protest on Tuesday morning in Manhattan with Greene in attendance as President Trump is expected to be arraigned Tuesday afternoon.

As of this report, there has been one scuffle so far during the protest but it is expected to be peaceful overall given the proven track record of peaceful protest by the NYYRC. Additionally, Greene has called upon those attending to remain peaceful.

“Protesting is a constitutional right and I am going to NY on Tuesday to protest this unprecedented abuse of our justice system and election interference,” Greene explained. “I also reject any attempt and anyone who dresses in MAGA but incites violence or commits violence while pretending to be one of us. You are not one of us, you are one of them.”
