WATCH: Marjorie Taylor Greene Takes Bold Action to Hold Biden Accountable For Sending Your Tax Money to Ukraine

On Friday, Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) introduced a resolution to the House of Representatives which would give a total accounting of American tax dollars spent in Ukraine over the past year since Russia invaded the former-Soviet bloc country on February 24, 2022.

“Today, Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene introduced a privileged Resolution of Inquiry into Taxpayer Dollars Spent in Ukraine to find out exactly where OUR money is going,” Greene’s office wrote in a press release. “While the warmongers and the Biden Administration have sent over $113 billion in foreign aid to Ukraine, our border patrol asked for just $15.46 billion to secure our southern border and stop the flow of Chinese-made, Mexican Cartel imported fentanyl and human trafficking into the United States.”

“President Trump’s border wall would have cost only $22 billion to stop the more than 6 million aliens that have invaded our country illegally since Biden took office,” the release continued. “The 82,000 Russians invading Ukraine pales in comparison. Congresswoman Greene’s resolution requests that President Biden, along with Defense Secretary Austin and Secretary of State Blinken, provide the House with all relevant information about how taxpayer dollars are being used in Ukraine.”

The resolution, which was introduced in the last Congress and was supported by all House Republicans at the time, will give the American people an audit of how their tax dollars are being spent in Ukraine. Given the unanimous GOP support in the 117th Congress, it is more than likely that the resolution will pass with the Republican majority.

The resolution was cosponsored by Reps. Thomas Massie (R-KY), Matt Rosendale (R-MT), Clay Higgins (R-LA), Matt Gaetz (R-FL), Chip Roy (R-TX), Tim Burchett (R-TN), Mary Miller (R-IL), and Paul Gosar (R-AZ).

Rep. Greene joined “Tucker Carlson Tonight” on Thursday to discuss the resolution and the announcement by the Biden administration that $10 billion will be going to Ukraine, not to provide armaments for its military, but to support the Zelensky-led government in Kyiv.

“Congresswoman you seem to be fighting still a year later a pretty lonely battle on the Republican side to wake up your own party to what they are supporting which is Joe Biden’s chief and craziest policy aim,” said Tucker, asking, “I mean what is this?”

“Well it doesn’t feel very lonely from my standpoint Tucker,” the Georgia congresswoman began. “You know we just heard Mike McCaul, one of my colleagues in Congress, talk about bipartisan support for this war against Russia in Ukraine.”

“Yeah there’s bipartisan support among the American people and that’s support for our country, our border, stopping crime in our cities, reducing inflation, and making things good in America again,” she continued.  “There’s not bipartisan support among the American people for fighting a war in Ukraine that does nothing for Americans except force them to pay for it.”

“You know I am really sick and tired of it and so is everyone else. Here’s the problem,” the Republican representative explained. “The problem is that the warmongers and our supreme leaders in the Biden administration are so clueless, they are so stupid, and they are so disconnected with what the American people want that they are literally going to lead us into World War III and I don’t want to be on that train anymore. I am not interested in it and neither is anyone else.”

“It is going to force Congress to give the American people an audit,” Greene said about her resolution. “That is exactly what the American people need. An audit of Ukraine because we have no idea where all this money is going. I mean we know that it’s paying for pensions for Ukrainian leaders and people in their government while people in East Palestine are suffering from basically a nuclear bomb that exploded in their city. We know that our American dollars are paying for aid in Ukraine but we don’t know where that’s going.”

Thanks to efforts like Greene’s, Americans will finally get an accounting of the over $100 billion that has already flowed to Ukraine over the past year. It is imperative that House Republicans are transparent with the American people on how funds are being allocated. After all, this is our money.
