WATCH: MSNBC Guest Reacts To Court Decision On Trump's $454 Million Fine - 'This Is So Infuriating'

On Monday, a New York appeals court ruled that presumptive GOP nominee Donald Trump can post a far smaller bond of $175 million to prevent the seizure of his assets by New York Attorney General Letitia James (D-NY) in the civil fraud case brought against him which resulted in Judge Arthur Engoron ordering Trump to pay a $454 million fine. In response to the surprise victory, MSNBC guest Tristan Snell, the former New York assistant attorney general, decried the supposed preferential treatment that Trump was being given.

"Honestly, this is so infuriating I don't even know what to do. I don't even know if I care what the process is that these judges are arriving at. Whatever it is, it's flawed. I can tell you that much," he said. "This is a different process for this person. We have decided that he gets his own private court of justice. He gets his own private plane, he has the private clubs that he lives in, he basically has fashioned himself his own private militia to try to take over the Capitol, and now he is getting his own private system of justice. This is an absolute travesty. It would not happen for anybody else. Anybody else it would be like 'Sorry buddy, you lost. Pay up.' For him, he gets his own set of rules."

Snell is right about one thing: Trump certainly is being treated differently. The 45th president has been the subject of repeated attacks from left-wing prosecutors and judges who are intent on destroying his chances of winning back the White House in November. The claim that Trump is receiving preferential treatment is absurd, given the lengths to which Judge Engoron and New York Attorney General Letitia James (D-NY) went to punish Trump for a victimless crime. It is clear that the appeals court saw through Judge Engoron's ruling and took action to ensure that Trump was able to appeal the ruling without having his assets seized for not coming up with the nearly half-a-billion-dollar fine.

The five-judge panel ruled that Trump has an additional ten days to come up with the cash to pay a $175 million bond to the state of New York. During a press conference following the decision, Trump explained that he would be using cash as collateral to obtain a bond from a surety company.

Trump took to Truth Social to slam Judge Engoron following the higher court's ruling, writing, "Judge Engoron has refused to obey the decision of the Appellate Division relative to the Statute of Limitations. This is a confrontation between a Judge and those that rule above him - A very bad situation in which to place New York State and the Rule of Law! Engoron has disrespected the Appellate Division and its very clear and precise ruling. He should be made to do so, and at the same time, release the GAG ORDER. This is the 5th time in this case that he has been overturned, a record. His credibility, and that of Letitia James, has been shattered. We will abide by the decision of the Appellate Division, and post either a bond, equivalent securities, or cash. This also shows how ridiculous and outrageous Engoron's original decision was at $450 Million. I DID NOTHING WRONG, AND NEW YORK SHOULD NEVER BE PUT IN A POSITION LIKE THIS AGAIN. BUSINESSES ARE FLEEING, VIOLENT CRIME IS FLOURISHING, AND IT IS VERY IMPORTANT THAT THIS BE RESOLVED IN ITS TOTALITY AS SOON AS POSSIBLE. THANK YOU!"
