WATCH: Nancy Pelosi Tries To Revive Russian Collusion Hoax, Says Putin Has 'Financial' Dirt On Trump

On Monday, former Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) joined MSNBC host and former White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki to discuss the 2024 presidential election and Donald Trump. During the interview, Pelosi, who frequently promoted the Russian collusion conspiracy theory during her tenure as speaker, said that Russia likely has 'financial' dirt on Trump, given his recent comments on NATO and Alexei Navalny.

"We're all wondering this question, Speaker Pelosi, what do you think Putin has on him? It sure seems like something as you have said a few times given that he refuses to criticize him and given that he seems to be a fanboy of him," Psaki asked.

"First of all, we must make sure that he doesn't take one foot in the White House," Pelosi began, adding that Trump disgraced the White House and the legacy of former presidents like George Washington and Abraham Lincoln. "We have someone who had the honor of serving in the White House. Didn't consider it an honor. Didn't consider his oath of office to protect and defend the Constitution. This week, speaking out in the way he did about Navalny shows you that he is a person without values."

Trump took to Truth Social on Monday to comment about the Russian opposition leader's death, writing, "The sudden death of Alexei Navalny has made me more and more aware of what is happening in our Country. It is a slow, steady progression, with CROOKED, Radical Left Politicians, Prosecutors, and Judges leading us down a path to destruction. Open Borders, Rigged Elections, and Grossly Unfair Courtroom Decisions are DESTROYING AMERICA. WE ARE A NATION IN DECLINE, A FAILING NATION! MAGA2024."

"He looks like he is going to be a person without dollars either," she said in reference to the recent $355 million fine Trump is ordered to pay in the civil fraud case in New York. "The values are what concern us. I don't know what he has on him, but I think it's probably financial."

Pelosi was immediately maligned for the comments that attempted to revive the conspiracy theory that Trump has ties to Russia in some way or is an agent of Vladimir Putin. "These are the people who spread the most insane and unhinged conspiracy theories," wrote journalist Glenn Greenwald. "They unleashed Bob Mueller for 18 months, and he barely dignified this accusation of Putin blackmail over Trump. It's a deranged and sick fairy tale that has drowned our politics for eight years."

Nancy Pelosi was instrumental in forwarding the Russia collusion hoax that plagued the first Trump administration from the beginning. Special Counsel Robert Mueller concluded that the Trump campaign in no way colluded with Russia to win the 2016 election. However, Democrats are still attempting to push an alternative reality to justify their unhinged behavior against the leader of the Republican Party.
