WATCH: New York Firefighters Mercilessly Boo Attorney General Letitia James, Chant 'Trump'

During an event for New York's Uniformed Firefighters Association, New York Attorney General Letitia James (D-NY) was mercilessly booed by the crowd as the firefighters in attendance chanted "Trump! Trump! Trump!" James, who ran on a campaign platform to go after Trump in 2018, brought a civil case against the 45th president for defrauding various banks when taking out loans to build his real estate empire. 

In the now-viral video, Letitia James, partly there to honor the first African American woman chaplain of FDNY, was drowned out by the rank-and-file firefighters in the audience who were fed up with her abuse of the legal system to go after political opponents. "She deserves to be heckled & booed at any public appearance. She wasted taxpayer's $$ & weaponized her [New York State] office against [Trump]," wrote an audience member on X.

As previously reported by the DC Enquirer, Judge Arthur Engoron ruled last month that Trump defrauded various banks to receive more beneficial loan terms. Engoron ordered Trump to pay a massive $354 million fine and bar him "from serving as an officer or director of any New York corporation or other legal entity in New York for a period of three years." Trump is also responsible for paying around $100 million in pre-judgment interest.

Trump has vowed to appeal the ruling. However, he must first pay the fine as a bond to the state. Attorney General James explained that if Trump could not come up with the funds, she would seize his assets. "If he does not have funds to pay off the judgment, then we will seek judgment enforcement mechanisms in court, and we will ask the judge to seize his assets," James told ABC News. 

The New York AG explained that she is confident that she will win her case on appeal and that she is actively considering seizing 40 Wall Street, a Trump-owned skyscraper in Manhattan's financial district. "We are prepared to make sure that the judgment is paid to New Yorkers, and yes, I look at 40 Wall Street each and every day," she said.

Letitia James deserves to be booed after she blatantly politicized her office to go after the presumptive nominee of the opposition party. Democrats have shamelessly politicized the justice system and, in the process, destroyed the institutional trust built up over decades, all in an attempt to get Donald J. Trump.
