WATCH: Nikki Haley Bashes CNN’s Don Lemon For Sexist Comments – ‘They Can’t Stand’ Me

On Friday, former Governor of South Carolina, former U.N. Ambassador, and now 2024 Republican presidential hopeful Nikki Haley joined Fox News to discuss recent comments from CNN’s Don Lemon who said that the 51-year-old was ‘not in her prime’ to run for the presidency.

As previously reported by the DC Enquirer, Lemon made repeated sexist comments about the candidate leading to pushback from his co-hosts and viewers.

“This whole talk about age makes me uncomfortable. I think it’s the wrong road to go down,” Don Lemon argued. “She says people, you know, politicians are something if not in their prime. Nikki Haley isn’t in her prime, sorry. A woman is considered to be in their prime in 20s and 30s and maybe 40s. That’s not according to me.”

When pressed on the matter by his fellow co-host Poppy Harlow, Lemon attempted to justify his argument by appealing to Google’s authority.

“It depends, just like prime, if you look it up. If you Google it, when is a woman in her prime, it’ll say 20s, 30s, and 40s,” Lemon continued. “I’m not saying I agree with that. I think she has to be careful about saying that, you know, politicians are in their prime.”

“I think we need a qualifier, are you talking about prime for like childbearing or are you talking about prime for being president?” asked Harlow.

“I’m just saying what the facts are. Google it. Everybody at home, when is a woman in her prime, it says 20s, 30s, and 40s,” the former primetime CNN host said. “And I’m just saying should be careful about saying that politicians are not in their prime and they need to be in their prime when they serve. Because she wouldn’t be in her prime according to…Google or whatever it is.”

In response to the outlandish comments, Haley stated that he made his “head explode.”

“It was Don Lemon yesterday, it was Whoopi Goldberg the day before. There will be somebody else tomorrow,” Haley said, adding, “I have always made the liberals’ heads explode.”

“They can’t stand the fact that a minority conservative female would not be on the Democratic side because they know I pull independents,” she explained, as reported by Fox News. “They know I pull suburban women. They know I pull minorities over to what we are trying to do.”

“I wasn’t sitting there saying sexist, middle-aged CNN anchors need to have mental competency tests, although [Lemon] may have just proven that point,” the former South Carolina governor remarked. “What I was saying is we need to be transparent. Those elected officials that are making key decisions for Americans on national security and keeping our kids safe and the debt. Yes, we need to know exactly that.”

As Haley takes the punches that the left throws at her at the beginning of her 2024 run, it is revealing that some of the progressive left immediately turn to sexist arguments to criticize a female Republican. If Lemon had made such comments on any other platform about any other politicians, the left would have already had him fired.
