WATCH: Officers Witness INSANE Crash, Car Flies 120 Feet In The Air

Body cam footage from an officer on May 24th shows a car pulling off a stunt you’d expect to see in a Tom Cruise action movie, driving up a tow truck ramp before flying through the air and crashing onto the road.

On Wednesday morning, officers from the Lowndes County Sheriff’s office were responding to a different crash that happened beforehand, per WSB-TV. The original reason for the first car crash prompted the officer's arrival, but the second cause is much clearer.

Officers were standing outside their vehicles talking to victims at the scene of the wreck with the tow truck sitting to the left of the officers in a road lane, as can be viewed in the officer's bodycam footage. From the video, it appears that the incoming car did not notice that there was a tow truck in the lane because the driver drove right up the ramp before soaring through the air, falling onto an upright position in the road.

The car flew around 120 feet, according to the police officer incident report, before sliding across the road and hitting another car that was driving on the highway. This collision prompted the crashing vehicle to be propelled another 23 feet past its original point of impact and scattering debris all over the highway.

A police deputy for the Lowndes County Sheriff’s office had to be taken to a local hospital for injuries received from the flying debris with the driver of the vehicle surviving but sustaining serious injuries from the crash.

Fox-5 Atlanta states that the deputies used this as a learning lesson on the importance of following Georgia’s recent Move Over Law where drivers must move over one lane whenever emergency or utility vehicles are stopped on the road. In the case that a driver cannot get over, they are to slowly come to a complete stop to prevent any sudden stops.

The Lowndes County Sheriff’s Office has not made it clear if the driver that caused the accident will face any charges. Thankfully, no one was killed in this incident and it can be remembered as a wild accident that was caught on camera.
