WATCH: Oliver Anthony Performs Hit Song 'Rich Men North Of Richmond' Live To Thousands

On Sunday, Oliver Anthony, the viral performer that conquered the internet with his hit song 'Rich Men North Of Richmond,' performed in front of thousands at an event in North Carolina.

Anthony, whose song has reached the number one song on iTunes in America, performed at Morris Farm Market in Currituck, North Carolina on Sunday afternoon where he was welcomed by thousands of supporters who came to hear the anthem that has resonated with so many.

Before his performance, the Virginia factory worker began by thanking everyone who came out, explaining that in June he had previously played at the venue with only 20 people. "That's the beautiful part of this country though, even an idiot like me can make something happen," he said. "If I can do it, you can do it."

“Before we start singing, and I mean we, 'cause I hope y'all are gonna be singing too. I just had something I felt compelled to share with you," he said before opening his Bible.

“This is in Psalms, Psalms 37, 12 - 20. The wicked plot against the righteous and nash their teeth at them. But the Lord laughs at the wicked for he knows their day is coming. The wicked draw the sword and bend the bow to bring down the poor and needy, to slay those whose ways are upright," Anthony continued. “But their swords will pierce their own hearts and their bows will be broken. Better the little that has righteousness than the wealth of many wicked. For the power of the wicked will be broken, but the Lord upholds the righteous. The blameless spend their days under the Lord's care and their inheritance will endure forever. In times of disaster, they will not wither and in days of famine, they will have plenty. But the wicked will perish.”

"Though the Lord's enemies are like the flowers of the field, they will be consumed and they will go up in smoke," Anthony concluded.

Following his performance, Anthony stayed at the event for hours to take pictures and give out autographs to the thousands of fans that came out to see him.

"[Oliver Anthony] has been doing photos and autographs for HOURS in the heat after his first live show since Richmond," wrote Jason Howerton. "He quite literally is refusing to leave until he’s got through everyone."

It is clear that Oliver Anthony has struck a chord with millions of Americans and as he plans to perform in other areas of the country, thousands more will likely come out to see him.
