WATCH: Patrick Mahomes Gives 'God The Glory' Following Super Bowl Victory

On Sunday evening, millions of Americans nationwide gathered in homes, bars, and other venues to watch the highly anticipated Super Bowl LVIII between the Kansas City Chiefs and the San Fransisco 49ers. In a stunning overtime victory, the Chiefs won their second consecutive Super Bowl with a score of 25 to 22 after quarterback Patrick Mahomes threw the game-winning pass to Mecole Hardman. Following the big game, Mahomes spoke with a reporter to thank God for his victory.

"The adversity we dealt with this year and to come through, the guys never faltered. I just got to give God the glory," Mahomes said. "He challenged us to make us better, and I'm proud of my guys. It's legendary."

In addition to thanking God in his post-game interview, Mahomes also expressed his love for his wife and two children, two-year-old daughter Sterling and 14-month-old son Bronze, following his third Super Bowl win. "It means the world that [they're here]," the 28-year-old quarterback said. "The whole family of Kansas City [and the] Chiefs Kingdom is special. Brittany is a great wife with two great kids. I can't ask for anything better than this."

The Chief's victory over the 49ers is the third win in the past five seasons for the team and represents the start of a dynasty for the NFL team.
