WATCH: Philadelphia Police Overrun By Thieves As Mass Looting 'Destroy' The City

On Tuesday evening, hundreds of Philadelphia residents took to the streets to loot and rob various stores throughout the city as police attempted to respond to the mass theft taking place.

The criminals targeted popular stores like the Apple store, Lululemon, Target, and Footlocker throughout the Center City business corridor in the 9th District, per Fox News.

Officers told the local outlet WCAU-TV that the looters took hundreds of items from the Lululemon store and dozens of iPhones and Apple devices. However, the criminals left the Apple devices behind due to their anti-theft protocols and poured orange juice on the devices.

Throughout the mayhem, authorities only arrested around 15 to 20 people with Philadelphia Police Interim Commissioner John Stanford explaining that these looters "made an attempt to destroy our city."

"What we had tonight was a bunch of criminal opportunists take advantage of a situation and make an attempt to destroy our city," he said. "Again it is not going to be tolerated. We made arrests and we will continue to make arrests until we have all of the individuals or a number of individuals that have been responsible for what we've seen tonight in custody."

"It’s disgusting to be very honest. To see what our city went through in 2020 and to have some individuals try to recreate that same type of energy tonight is disgusting," the commissioner added. "At the end of the day, we are going to press on until we are able to get those folks in custody because again it has no space in this city and there are too many people who worked hard in the business community, too many people throughout communities in this city that don't deserve that type of behavior."

As mass looting and criminality continue to persist in Democrat-led cities throughout America's major metroplexes, Americans can see the impact of soft-on-crime policies pursued following the lawlessness seen during the Black Lives Matter riots in the summer of 2020.
