On Monday, political commentator Piers Morgan joined 'Fox & Friends' to lament the upcoming expiration of Title 42, the public health order that allowed immigration enforcement to deport migrants crossing the southern border during the pandemic, on May 11th.
Morgan blasted the left-wing media for their hypocrisy in covering President Trump's border policies and lamented that the scale of migration occurring on the southern border is terrifying as President Biden continues to ignore the problem.
"It's completely insane," Morgan began on 'Fox & Friends'. "I remember all the fury about this with Donald Trump and his efforts to try and put some kind of curb on what's going on at this border."
"And he was vilified as being a racist, an anti-American and a bigot, and so on," he explained. "But frankly, is this the option that you just effectively have an open border? Because if you do, then America is heading to a very dark place."
"You just can't do this," the British commentator emphasized. "We have a problem on our borders in this country [Great Britain], but it involves tens of thousands of people per year coming over on boats, migrants, some of whom are legitimate asylum seekers, many of whom are just trying their luck, right?"
According to DW.com, there were approximately 45,000 crossings by migrants across the English Channel in 2022, a number that pails in comparison to the number of crossings along the US-Mexico border.
"But the scale of what's going on at your southern border is frankly pretty terrifying," Morgan commented. "And the idea that Joe Biden, who's been a politician for five, six decades now, doesn't think this is a real emergency and crisis is also terrifying."
In addition to giving his analysis on Title 42, Morgan also commented about the recent calling from Riley Gaines to boycott sports that allow transgender athletes to participate in women's sports. In addition, Morgan also spoke about the coronation that happened over the weekend and the souring public opinion towards Prince Harry and Meghan Markle.
