WATCH: President Trump Responds To Claims He's 'Exhausted' On The Campaign Trail - 'She Doesn't Go To Any Events. She's A Loser'

After POLITICO reported that 45th President Donald Trump was "exhausted" on the campaign trail, Vice President Kamala Harris began to use the report as an attack on her political opponent by attempting to argue that he wasn't fit for the job of president. In response to the attacks, Trump told a reporter about his packed schedule and emphasized that it was actually Harris who had been skipping events in recent weeks.

As reported by POLITICO, Trump was set to appear on The Shade Room podcast, but the interview was canceled with a Trump staffer allegedly explaining that Trump was "exhausted and refusing [some] interviews, but that could change." President Trump has also recently canceled interviews with CNBC's "Squawk Box" and NBC Philadelphia. In response to the claims of exhaustion, Trump campaign National Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt said, "President Trump is running laps around Kamala Harris on the campaign trail. And has done media interviews every day this week. He has more energy and a harder work ethic than anyone in politics."

However, the explanation from Trump's team didn't stop Vice President Harris from exploiting the report. "Donald Trump is dodging debates and ducking interviews. His campaign team says it's because of 'exhaustion,'" she wrote on X. "Well, if he's exhausted on the campaign trail, it raises the question: Is he fit for the toughest job in the world?"

President Trump, who has held far more rallies and interviews than Harris so far in the campaign, responded to the allegations that he was exhausted on Friday. "Kamala Harris says she thinks you're exhausted, and that's why you have canceled events," the reporter said on the airport tarmac in Romulus, Michigan. "What event did I cancel? I haven't canceled. She doesn't go to any events. She's a loser. She doesn't go to any events. She didn't even show up for the Catholics last night. It was insulting. All they are is sound bites."

"So today I was at 'Fox & Friends' at seven in the morning. I then went to two other different appearances. I thine made about 15 phone calls. I've gone 48 days now without a rest, and I've got that loser who doesn't have the energy of a rabbit. She should have been last night with the Catholics," he said, referencing the Al Smith Dinner. "All they do is put out soundbites. Tell me when you've seen me take even a little bit of a rest. I'm not even tired. I'm really exhilarated. Do you want to know why? Because we're killing her in the polls. The American people don't want her."
