WATCH: President Trump Reveals Who's On His 2024 Vice Presidential Short List - 'They're All Solid'

On Tuesday evening, presumptive GOP nominee and 45th President Donald Trump joined Fox News's Laura Ingraham for a town hall in Greenville, South Carolina, ahead of the state's Republican primary on February 24. During the discussion, Trump revealed several names that were on his short list to serve with him as vice president.

"The audience has been asked who they think would be a good choice, and various names came up," Ingraham said. "One of them was, of course, Vivek Ramaswamy, who has made a big splash. Ron DeSantis is making an appearance today in South Carolina. Obviously, Tim Scott. Byron Donalds. And a big presence here for Tulsi Gabbard. Very interesting. And Kristi Noem, as well, I should say. Are they all on your shortlist?"

"They are," Trump responded. "So I think it is very important. But first is that, as we said, it has to do with whoever - it's a very important position for that reason. You'd like to get someone who could help you from a voter standpoint. And honestly, all of those people are good. They're all good. They're all solid."

"And I always say I want people with common sense because there's so many things happening in this country that don't make sense," he continued. "Who wants an open border? Who wants high-interest rates? Who wants all-electric vehicles? And they're fine, but you want to have a choice. You want to go to combustion. You want to go do any hybrid? I think the hybrids are much better from that standpoint. But you were talking about faucets. We're talking about so much. It is all based on common sense. We want a strong military. We want a choice in education. We want to have things that can really make our country great again. What we are doing with the open border is a disaster. We are destroying our country. We are going to change that fast, and we are going to get your energy prices down."

Trump's vice presidential pick will be significant for how he will govern in his second term. Trump chose Mike Pence in 2016 because, at the time, he was not familiar with how the legislative process worked, something that Pence excelled at as governor of Indiana and representative in the House. This time, Trump doesn't have the problem of executive inexperience, so he can be more flexible with his pick for second in command. Americans are excited to see who he will pick in the coming months, what impact that vice presidential pick will have on the ticket, and how Trump will govern if he successfully kicks Biden out of office.
