WATCH: Pro-Palestine Protesters Occupy House Office Building Ahead Of Netanyahu's Address To Congress

Ahead of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's address to a joint session of Congress on Wednesday, hundreds of pro-Palestine protesters occupied the Cannon House Office Building in Washington, D.C., and began demanding that Congress cease weapon shipments to the Middle East democracy amid its ongoing war with the terrorist group Hamas in the Gaza Strip.

The demonstrators, all of whom were wearing red shirts that read "Stop Arming Israel," sat down in the Cannon Office Building rotunda with signs that read "Let Gaza Live" and "Jews Say: Stop The Genocide." The hundreds of demonstrators, many of whom were wearing face masks, loudly disrupted staffers and representatives attempting to get through the work day, leading Capitol Police to begin making arrests.

"Pro-Hamas insurrectionists have infiltrated the Cannon House Office Building once again," Rep. Marjorie Taylor Green (R-GA) wrote. "10-20K expected tomorrow. Why are these people not being prosecuted the same way J6 protestors have been?"

The occupation of the House office building comes ahead of the Israeli prime minister's address to Congress which is being boycotted by a number of prominent Democrats including Vice President Kamala Harris. Tens of thousands of protesters are expected to flood the streets of Washington, D.C. to protest Netanyahu's speech and Speaker Mike Johnson, in a letter to colleagues, made it clear that disruptions would not be tolerated.

In his letter to lawmakers, Johnson explained that there would be an increased police presence outside of the Capitol and inside the House Chamber to ensure Netanyahu's safety and the security of the assembled representatives. Speaker Johnson emphasized that there is a "zero-tolerance policy" for disturbances during the prime minister's speech and that any such action that would interfere with the address would result in action from the Sergeant at Arms.
"All Members should kindly inform their guests that any disruption of the proceedings of the House is a violation of the rules and may subject the offenders to prosecution," Johnson wrote. "If any disturbance does occur, the Sergeant at Arms and Capitol Police will remove the offending visitor(s) from the gallery and subject them to arrest."

The leader of the People's Hosue explained to his colleagues that they are representatives of the United States during the address and they should act accordingly. However, he warned that if members disturbed the proceeding, they, too, would be confronted by the Sergeant at Arms. "As Members, it is incumbent upon us all to likewise model respect and proper decorum as representatives of the American people and our institution and as ambassadors of the United States on the world stage," the speaker explained. "It is our tradition to acknowledge every guest speaker's right to free expression even if we disagree with their viewpoint."

This is unexceptable, those protesters indeed should be arrested. And what I would do when you complete all your arrests they should be made to sit and watch the evil unfathomable murderous acts of hamas! I would also give them the same sentences as they gave the Jan 6th hostages.
