WATCH: Robert F. Kennedy, Jr. Says Democrats Are 'Destroying Democracy' As They Claim To Save It

During an interview on "Making Money" on Friday, independent candidate Robert F. Kennedy, Jr. argued that Vice President Kamala Harris and the Democratic Party are, despite claiming that they are saving democracy from Donald Trump, actually destroying it. RFK, Jr.'s comments come after the Democratic Party did away with any potential primary process after President Joe Biden exited the presidential race earlier this month.

"[W]hen I was a kid, the whole kind of central focus of the Democratic Party was making sure that every American could vote for whoever they wanted to vote for," Kennedy said. "The Democratic Party today is all about the opposite of that, about making sure that candidates who are going to run against their chosen candidate are — that the legal system, that the law enforcement agencies are used to prevent those candidates from running."

Kennedy initially ran in the Democratic Party primary earlier this year but left the race after the Democratic National Committee refused to host debates between himself, President Joe Biden, Rep. Dean Phillips (D-MN), and Marianne Williamson. Kennedy, who is gradually getting ballot access in most states, has broken double digits in some polls but has failed to gain any momentum in recent months as his campaign hemorrhages cash.

"They've made it almost impossible for me to get on the ballot in all the states. I am going to. In fact, we have now completed all the signatures. I think we have one state left where we have a couple hundred signatures. We've gotten over 2 million signatures, more signatures than any presidential candidate in history," the independent candidate said. "We've done something nobody in history has been able to do up against these headwinds that they've created for us. They're suing us in all the states, but we're going to win the lawsuits."

"But it's not a good look for the Democratic Party. They're saying, well, we have to do this in order to save democracy from Donald Trump, but they're actually — the real argument is we're destroying democracy in order to save it," he added, as reported by Breitbart.

The Democrat Party has proven itself to be interested only in political power, and any appeals to democratic ideals are insincere at best. The Democrats have proven themselves to be anti-democratic at nearly every turn in the 2024 election cycle with the refusal to host primary debates to the pursuit of lawfare against their main political rival to the culmination of Democratic elites around Kamala Harris to prevent an open primary process before the convention.
