WATCH: Rudy Giuliani Launches MAJOR Lawsuit Against President Biden

On Wednesday, former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani launched a defamation lawsuit against President Joe Biden over comments he made during the 2020 debate in Nashville, Tennessee.

The close Trump ally made the announcement Wednesday morning alongside New Hampshire attorney William O'Brien and New York attorney Louis Diamond.

According to WMUR9, Giuliani is alleging that President Biden knowingly made false statements to the public that defamed his reputation and led to a significant loss of business for his law practice which has led him to become "close to bankruptcy." Some of those comments include being called "a Russian pawn."

"Being called a Russian pawn and being called by the leading candidate of the Democratic Party a facilitator of Russian disinformation is an extraordinarily damaging thing," he said. "That is 100%, 1,000% untrue."

"What he did to me is intolerable. He called me a Russian operative. That is a lie. That is false," the former NYC mayor explained to the gathered reporters.

His attorney, William O'Brien, told the assembled press that the debate's airing in New Hampshire would allow Giuliani to have grounds for damages.

"We have a rule in New Hampshire called the Single Publication Rule, and what that rule means is that when you can establish that a defamation occurred within the jurisdiction, within New Hampshire, the plaintiff can recover for each instance it occurred elsewhere," the attorney said.

The lawsuit brought by the former mayor comes just one week after Hunter Biden sued Giuliani for Rudy's sharing of the Hunter Biden laptop with the New York Post in the lead-up to the 2020 election.

The lawfare back and forth will play out in court between the Biden family and Giuliani as Hunter attempts to fight back against the growing evidence that shows his corrupt actions throughout his father's vice presidency and into the years of the Trump administration.

In addition to this legal action, Giuliani is one of the 17 other defendants in the RICO case brought by Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis. He was charged with felony racketeering alongside President Trump and others for their efforts following the 2020 election.

A number of attorneys have withdrawn from Giuliani's defense with Brian Tevis doing so on Tuesday evening.

The former Big Apple mayor is certainly facing a number of legal challenges and this defamation lawsuit against Joe Biden is likely an attempt to go on the offense.
