Speaking to the Eastern Economic Forum in Vladivostok, Russia, on Thursday, Russian President Vladimir Putin revealed that he wants Vice President Kamala Harris to win the upcoming presidential election instead of 45th President Donald Trump.
"If we can name a favorite candidate. It used to be Joe Biden, but now he's not participating in the election campaign, and he recommended all his allies to support Mrs. Harris. So that is what we are going to do," Putin said. "He said that we should also do that. Her laugh is so fascinating," he said, adding that Harris may undue the various sanctions President Biden placed on Russia following the Ukraine invasion in 2022 and the subsequent bloodshed. "Mrs. Harris, maybe she will refrain herself from such measures, or maybe she will change them."
"Ultimately, the choice is up to the American people, and we will respect that choice," the Russian president added, as reported by Axios. Putin's comments come after a spokesman for the Kremlin told reporter Pavel Zarubin during an interview that the Russian government favors a Kamala Harris presidency because she would be more predictable. "But, of course, the Democrats are more predictable. And what Putin said about Biden's predictability applies to almost all Democrats, including Ms. Harris," the spokesman, Dmitry Peskov, said about Harris, as reported by Reuters.
In response to the comments from the Russian leader, a spokesperson for the Harris campaign, Ian Sams, told CNN that the Democrat presidential candidate rejects "any foreign interference in this election at all, from any side, from any country. I think everybody knows who dictators and bullies around the world prefer in this election. They prefer President Trump."
The Russian leader's remarks come after the Department of Justice indicted two employees of Russia Today (RT) who funneled millions of dollars to an American media company, Tenet Media, to spread pro-Russian content. The Tenet platform hosts several conservative commentators, whom the indictment explains are victims in the case, such as Tim Pool, Benny Johnson, and Dave Rubin. Simultaneously, the DOJ also seized dozens of website domains that Russia was allegedly using to influence the 2024 election.
"The sites we are seizing today were filled with Russian government propaganda that had been created by the Kremlin to reduce international support for Ukraine, bolster pro-Russian policies and interests, and influence voters in the United States and other countries," Attorney General Merrick Garland explained.

The comments come after the DOJ accused Russia of funding Tenet who then paid conservative influencers for videos.

If I had to choose between Zelinsky, or Putin, I would choose Putin. I've actually paid attention in the last 40 years, and the Ukraine IS the most corrupt of the ex soviet states. "I think everybody knows who dictators and bullies around the world prefer in this election. They prefer President Trump." Strange statement considering he held ALL those foreign "bullies" at bay, and not one of them started any crap, but we're not supposed to remember that...
