WATCH: Speaker Johnson Reveals His Plan For Biden's Impeachment - 'Desperate Times Call For Desperate Measures'

On Sunday, newly-elected Speaker of the House Mike Johnson (R-LA) joined Fox Business's Maria Bartiromo for an interview to discuss the ongoing impeachment inquiry into President Joe Biden and the growing evidence against the Biden family.

"We're the rule of law team. We don't use this for political partisan games like the Democrats have done and did against Donald Trump twice," Johnson said. "We are going to follow the law and follow the Constitution, and I think we have a suspicion of where that may lead, but we're going to let the evidence speak for itself."

"I look forward to rolling that out over the coming days and weeks and letting the American people see exactly why we're taking the next steps and where it's headed," he added.

Johnson did go on to say that he is looking into whether or not to subpoena Hunter Biden as a part of the inquiry, a decision that then-Speaker Kevin McCarthy (R-CA) was weighing earlier this year before his ouster.

"We're trying to move forward on some of this very aggressively. I think the American people are owed these answers," Johnson said about the inquiry's progress. "And I think our suspicions about all this, the evidence that we've gathered so far, is affirming what many of us feared maybe the worst… As Jamie Comer likes to say, 'Bank records don't lie.' We already have a lot of this evidence. The dots are being connected, and we'll see where it leads."

As previously reported by the DC Enquirer, the impeachment inquiry against Biden has made significant progress, with House Oversight Chairman James Comer (R-KY) uncovering a $200,000 direct payment made to President Biden from his brother.

"In 2018, James Biden received $600,000 in loans from Americore, a financially distressed and failing rural hospital operator. According to bankruptcy course documents, James Biden received these loans 'based upon representations that his last name Biden could open doors and that he could obtain a large investment from the Middle East thanks to his political connections,'" Comer explained in a video posted to X/Twitter earlier this month.

"On March 1, 2018, Americore wired a $200,000 loan into James and Sara Biden's personal bank account, not their business bank account. And then, on the very same day, James Biden wrote a $200,000 check from his same personal bank account to Joe Biden. James Biden wrote this check to Joe Biden as a 'loan repayment,'" the chairman continued. "Americore, a distressed company, loaned money to James Biden, who then sent it to Joe Biden. Even if this was a personal loan repayment, it's still troubling that Joe Biden's ability to be paid back by his brother depended on the success of his family's shady financial dealings."

Comer then demanded that President Biden answer the American people about whether or not there were certain terms for the money, if any documents show the payment, and if similar transactions took place in recent years.
