WATCH: Speaker Mike Johnson EXPOSES CBS News' Deceptive Editing Of Interview - 'Extraordinarily Dishonest'

On Monday, Speaker of the House Mike Johnson (R-LA) exposed CBS News' manipulative editing after an appearance on "Face The Nation" that included a discussion on Hurricane Helene, the recent lawsuit brought by the Department of Justice against the government of Virginia for removing non-citizens from the voter rolls, and House Republicans' efforts to stop non-citizen voting with the Safeguard American Voter Eligibility (SAVE) Act.

During an interview with Margaret Brennan on Sunday, Speaker Johnson's staff recorded the Louisiana lawmaker's answers and posted the difference between his answers and what CBS aired. The footage showed multiple instances of CBS editing out context from Johnson's interview. "CBS has been under fire for selectively editing their interviews to PROMOTE Democrats and UNDERMINE Republicans," Johnson wrote. "Yesterday, they chose to cut FIVE important minutes out of my nearly 15 minute interview. You can be the judge as to why."

The moment comes after CBS News selectively edited their "60 Minutes" interview with Vice President Harris to arguably make the Democratic presidential candidate look better. The Trump campaign has demanded that CBS News release the full transcript after deceptively editing one of her answers on the topic of Israel. The outrage over the "60 Minutes" interview comes after the network aired a preview clip online before the interview aired of Harris' answer on American influence over Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. However, when the interview was aired nationwide, the answer was edited differently and excluded the vice president's remarks seen in the preview clip.

"This is extraordinarily dishonest from CBS," Sen. JD Vance (R-OH) wrote. "Between this and 60 Minutes, they selectively edited a Kamala clip to make her look better and a Mike Johnson clip to take out his full answer."
