WATCH: Super PAC Promoting Ron DeSantis For President Releases New Ad

On Thursday, the political action committee Never Back Down released a new national ad featuring Ron DeSantis that promoted him for the 2024 Republican nomination for president of the United States.

The ad focuses largely on Governor DeSantis’ performance during Covid-19 as well as the policies that have made him a successful governor.

The one-minute clip shows various locations around Florida and a montage of clips from DeSantis’ political career as well as a picture of his time in the armed forces.

“When the world went mad we stood as a refuge for sanity,” the ad began. “Whether forged in our upbringing, built on the belief to compete and win, or cemented in service to country. Across the country men and women are willing to fight. Standing up for our children, their education, and a better future. Pushing back against the woke left and unleashing a next-generation economy.”

“You’re coming after the rights of parents, I’m standing in your way,” DeSantis can be heard saying in the ad, adding, “Freedom is here to stay!”

“We believe freedom is worth fighting for. We never back down,” the ad concluded.

While the Never Back Down Super PAC pushes DeSantis for president, the man himself has yet to announce his candidacy.

Despite that fact, Reps. Thomas Massie (R-KY) and Chip Roy (R-TX) have both come out in support of the Florida governor for a presidential run.

All of this, however, is overshadowed by recent polling showing DeSantis losing momentum in the polls to 45th President Donald Trump who holds a demanding lead in national and state-level polling across the country.

Given DeSantis’ lackluster polling in recent weeks and the fact that more Republican candidates are entering the race such as Sen. Tim Scott (R-SC), his window of opportunity to usurp Trump as the head of the party seems to be dwindling with some speculating that he may not even run at all.
