WATCH: 'The View' Co-Host Sunny Hostin Says Melania Wants To Take Trump Out - 'She Doesn't Want To Be The First Lady'

On Thursday, ABC's 'The View' co-host Sunny Hostin claimed that former First Lady Melania Trump hates her husband, 45th President Donald Trump, and doesn't want to live in the White House for the next four years. The comment comes after Melania posted an ad for her upcoming memoir to social media that seemed to be in support of abortion.

"Individual freedom is a fundamental principle that I safeguard," Melania said in the clip. "Without a doubt, there is no room for compromise when it comes to this essential right that all women possess from birth. Individual freedom: What does 'my body, my choice' really mean?" The controversial clip gained the attention of 'The View' co-hosts, who each had different perspectives on what it could mean. "I think she hates him. So we can all agree on that. That's a given. I also think that she wants to take him out," Hostin said. "She does not want to be the first lady anymore. She doesn't want to be the first lady. She destroyed the Rose Garden. Who hates Christmas? Melania Trump hates Christmas. She doesn't want to decorate for Christmas. She doesn't want to sleep in the same room with him. She can't tolerate him."

"I really think this is her way of undercutting his bid for the presidency because then she doesn't have to deal with him anymore," Hostin added. Co-host Joy Behar took another perspective on the clip, arguing that it was a "big scam" to get attention for her memoir and that the Trump campaign "put her up to this."

The clip from Melania Trump comes after a story from The Guardian alleged that a section of her memoir includes a defense of abortion. "It is imperative to guarantee that women have autonomy in deciding their preference of having children, based on their own convictions, free from any intervention or pressure from the government," the former first lady allegedly wrote in her book. "Why should anyone other than the woman herself have the power to determine what she does with her own body? A woman's fundamental right of individual liberty to her own life grants her the authority to terminate her pregnancy if she wishes. Restricting a woman's right to choose whether to terminate an unwanted pregnancy is the same as denying her control over her own body. I have carried this belief with me throughout my entire adult life."

Melania Trump's memoir is set to release on October 1. The memoir's description, found on melaniatrump.com, describes the book as a "powerful and inspiring story of a woman who has defined personal excellence, overcome adversity, and carved her own path. The former First Lady invites readers into her world, offering an intimate portrait of a woman who has lived an extraordinary life." According to the site, the book will include stories and images never seen by the public before. "Writing my memoir has been an amazing journey filled with emotional highs and lows," Melania explained to Fox News. "Each story shaped me into who I am today."
