WATCH: 'The View' Co-Host Whoopi Goldberg Gives Health Update Wearing A Mask Alone In Her OWN HOME - 'It's Just Me And My Mask'

On Wednesday, 'The View' co-host Whoopi Goldberg gave a health update after she tested positive for Covid-19 earlier this week.

"I just, I have covid. I just have COVID," Goldberg said as the audience laughed. "I'm still testing positive apparently. I have to have a clear test before I get back. 

"You know I can't wait to get back and hang out but until then it's me and my mask and I'm sort of confined to my room," the 67-year-old explained.

The clip caused many online to mock Goldberg for donning a mask while on a Zoom meeting with the rest of the show's co-hosts.

"Whoopi Goldberg called into the View wearing a face diaper in an empty room," wrote Citizen Free Press. "These freaks built a prison for themselves. They can continue on with the charade as long as they see fit. We will be laughing."

"This is Whoopi Goldberg on a Zoom call, alone in her home, and wearing a mask," added Graham Allen. "We live in a clown world."

As previously reported by the DC Enquirer, Co-host Joy Behar announced the news that her fellow co-star, Whoopi Goldberg, has tested positive for Covid-19 leading her to be absent for the Tuesday show and likely multiple shows this week. During the announcement, the audience audibly groaned when the news broke.

"As you can see, Whoopi is not here. She has Covid. Yes, it's back," Behar said. "But she is on the end, she's on the tail end and she will probably be back this week but sorry she's not here for those of you who were looking forward to seeing her."

The news of Goldberg's positive test came just one day after First Lady Jill Biden, who is vaccinated and boosted, tested positive for the disease. Biden is currently suffering "mild symptoms" and will be “monitored by the White House medical team," per CNN.

Covid-19 is once again on the rise across the country as two new variants of the disease spread prompting some businesses and colleges to reintroduce mask mandates. This, however, has been met with considerable pushback as many Americans fear the return of pandemic lockdown policies. As evidenced by Whoopi, however, the staunch leftists are more than willing to comply with the return of masks.
