WATCH: 'The View' MELTS DOWN As Migrants Overwhelm New York City - 'They Need To Be Resettled Elsewhere'

On Friday, co-hosts of ABC's 'The View' took to the controversial subject of immigration and the recent events taking place in cities like New York City, Washington, D.C., Los Angeles, Chicago, and Boston where thousands of migrants are overwhelming those metroplexes as Gov. Greg Abbott (R-TX) continues his voluntary busing program.

"Frankly, I think we need to find and we've dealt with this before. I lived in Miami. I was a migrant, an immigrant in Miami in the 80s. You all remember when we had the Mariel boat lift. 125,000 Cubans came in a matter of six months. It puts tremendous stress on a city, on a community, and on social services. They need to be resettled elsewhere."

"They need to spread out," one of the co-hosts chimed in.

"It's only going to get worse with global warming and climate change because people can't live in certain parts of this world," Joy Behar remarked.

The ladies of 'The View' took up the topic after New York City Mayor Eric Adams (D) went on a prolonged rant at a town hall where he said that the influx of migrants into the Big Apple is going to "destroy New York City."

"Let me tell you something, New Yorkers. Never in my life have I had a problem that I did not see an ending to. I don't see an ending to this. I don't see an ending to this. This issue will destroy New York City. Destroy New York City," Adams said during a town hall meeting. "We're getting 10,000 migrants a month.”

“One time we were just getting Venezuela. Now we’re getting Ecuador. Now we’re getting Russian-speaking coming through Mexico. Now we getting Western Africa. Now we’re getting people from all over the globe made their minds up they’re gonna through the southern part of the border and come into New York City,” he lamented. “And everyone is saying it’s New York City’s problem. Every community in this city is going to be impacted.”

"We had a $12 billion deficit that we're going to have to cut. Every service in this city is going to be impacted. All of us," Adams said. "It's going to come to your neighborhoods. All of us are going to be impacted by this. I said it last year when we had 15,000. I'm telling you now with 110,000. The city we knew we're about to lose. And we're all in this together."

"What happened? It started with a madman down in Texas, decided he wanted to bus people up to New York City," Adams said. "One hundred ten thousand migrants. We have to feed, clothe, house, educate the children, wash their laundry sheets, give them everything they need, health care. And this team here, we stated, let's do everything possible before we have to push it out into neighborhoods and communities. Month after month, I stood up, and I said, ‘This is going to come to a neighborhood near you.’"

According to Gov. Abbott, the state of Texas has "bused over 35,000 migrants to self-declared sanctuary cities" over the past year.

"Over 11,300 to DC. Over 13,300 to NYC. Over 6,700 to Chicago. Over 2,600 to Philadelphia. Over 1,000 to Denver. Over 480 to LA," Abbott wrote. "Our busing mission provides critical relief to overwhelmed Texas border towns."

As the left continues to attempt to blame Gov. Abbott for the influx of migrants to their home states, perhaps they should look in the mirror and realize that they are dealing with the consequences of what they voted for in 2020. Democrats are always willing to advocate for open borders until they actually have to suffer the consequences.
