WATCH: Trump Announces Multiple New York City Rallies After $354 Million Fine Ruling - 'My Revenge Will Be Success'

On Tuesday evening, presumptive GOP nominee and 45th President Donald Trump joined Fox News's Laura Ingraham for a town hall in Greenville, South Carolina, ahead of the state's Republican primary on February 24. During the discussion, Trump revealed that he is considering multiple rallies across New York City to provide a supporting message to disenchanted New Yorkers who are fed up with the influx of illegal migrants to Manhattan thanks to Democrat sanctuary city policies. Trump also responded to claims that his next term will be used to go after his political enemies, something that Trump denied.

When asked what he would tell moderate and independent voters worried that Trump's presidency would be filled with retribution against those who have gone after him, the 45th president responded that his next term would be focused on success rather than revenge. "I don't care about the revenge thing. I know they usually use the word revenge. Will there be revenge? My revenge will be success," Trump said to the audience's applause.

Trump also talked about his plans to make a play for The Empire State by doing multiple rallies in the Big Apple. Trump said the rallies would be happening soon, with November approaching. "I'm gonna see about Madison Square Garden, and we're gonna go to the South Bronx, and we're gonna go to Queens and other areas," Trump said. "If you look at what's happened in New York, I'm not even blaming the mayor. I think the mayor has sort of been told to take a backseat a little bit because they came after him violently. You know, they came after him like they were going to indict him when he started speaking up, and now he has gone quiet."

While Trump's decision to hold rallies in New York may seem like a waste, the potential to flip New York isn't impossible. In New York, a state that a Republican presidential candidate hasn't won since Ronald Reagan in 1984, Trump is trailing Biden by around 10 points. Trump lost the state by over 23 percent in the 2020 election. While these may seem like long odds, former GOP gubernatorial candidate Lee Zeldin's (R-NY) near upset in 2022 is a likely source of inspiration for Manhattan native Donald Trump.

As Trump continues to dominate the polls against Biden, with the Real Clear Politics polling average having him 1.7 points above Biden, the electoral map opens up. States that normally wouldn't be competitive will have to be defended by Democrats nationwide. Democrats already have to shift resources to Democrat strongholds like Maryland to fend off former Gov. Larry Hogan's (R-MD) challenge to take the open Senate seat there. With Democrats' resources stretched thin, Trump making a play for New York is a worrying development for Democrat leadership.
