WATCH: Trump Campaign Releases New Ad For Debate - 'If You Vote For Joe Biden Today, You'll Get Kamala Harris Tomorrow!'

Ahead of the CNN presidential debate on Thursday night, the Trump campaign released a new ad that will air during the event that emphasized President Joe Biden's age and the possibility of Vice President Kamala Harris taking over for the 81-year-old Democrat in a second term.

"When you think about the Joe Biden you saw debate, ask yourself a question...do you think the guy who was defeated by the stairs, got taken down by his bike, lost a fight with his jacket, and regularly gets lost makes it four more years in the White House?" the narrator said. "And you know who's waiting behind him, right? Vote Joe Biden today, get Kamala Harris tomorrow."

The Trump campaign's ad focuses on a key concern of a majority of Americans heading into the debate. A recent ABC News/Ipsos survey taken earlier this year shows that 86 percent of Americans believe Biden is too old to serve another term in the White House. When broken down by party, 73 percent of Democrats and 91 percent of independents said Biden was too old to serve.

The debate, which will last 90 minutes beginning at 9 PM EST, will be the first time that the two men have faced off against one another in four years. According to recent polling, nearly 70 percent of Americans are expected to view the debate in some form. The rules for the debate have shifted the layout significantly compared to four years ago. The mics for the debate will be shut off when one of the candidates' time runs out, and an attempted interruption will not be heard by the audience. Additionally, there will be no live audience, and it will be moderated by Dana Bash and Jake Tapper, both of whom have covered Trump negatively in recent years.

The debate is high stakes for the Biden campaign, which has been struggling to maintain a polling advantage against the former president in recent months. A recent Emerson College survey, which interviewed 1,000 registered voters for each state, revealed a significant trend: Trump is leading Biden in every swing state and tied with the incumbent Democrat in Minnesota.

This is a crucial development, as Trump has a strong four-point lead in Arizona (47 percent to 43 percent) and in Georgia (45 percent to 41 percent), while he has a three-point lead over Biden in Wisconsin (47 percent to 44 percent) and Nevada (46 percent to 43 percent). The 45th president also leads the 81-year-old Democrat in Pennsylvania by two points (47 percent to 45 percent) and one point in Michigan (46 percent to 45 percent). The poll also found that President Trump could defeat Biden in the Land of 10,000 Lakes, with both men holding 45 percent support.
