A new ad released by the Trump campaign on Friday ties Vice President Kamala Harris to the disastrous economic policies seen under President Joe Biden, often called "Bidenomics," that has led to higher prices for food, housing, gas, and other necessities as well as a stagnant economy afflicted with 40-year high inflation. Before President Biden dropped out of the presidential race, Bidenomics was a key pillar of his re-election campaign, and as his running mate, Harris was instrumental in pushing the policies that have crippled America's economy.
The powerful new ad to make Americans aware of the vice president's complicity in Bidenomics begins with the statement, "Kamala Harris Owns Bidenomics." In the following 45 seconds, clip after clip shows Harris praising Biden's economic policies. "Bidenomics is working," she said, adding in another clip, "It's a term we're very proud of, I must tell you. Because Bidenomics is working!"
"All of this is part of our movement together for what America can be. This is Bidenomics," Harris said in another clip. "We are very proud of Bidenomics." The ad highlights an overall message from the Trump campaign that the economic policies of the Biden-Harris administration don't just fall on the president but on the vice president as well. That sentiment appears to be sticking with the American public.
According to a recent YouGov poll, only 29 percent of voters believed that Kamala Harris would better handle inflation than President Trump, while 43 percent of respondents believed that the 45th president would be better able to handle inflation. Making matters worse for the Harris campaign is that the economy is the top issue for Americans nationwide.
Recent Gallup polling revealed that 36 percent of Americans believe that the economy is the top issue facing the country, with nearly half of that group believing that inflation is the biggest problem plaguing America. Given these figures, the Trump campaign has held a constant polling advantage over the presumptive Democratic nominee, Biden or Harris.
According to a recent Rasmussen Reports survey, Trump is leading Harris by seven points nationally with 50 percent of the vote compared to Harris' 43 percent. Four percent of voters are currently undecided. The poll, which asked 1,074 likely voters, also found that Harris is struggling against Trump in a multi-candidate race. Trump dominates with 49 percent support, Harris has 42 percent, independent candidate Robert F. Kennedy Jr. has four percent, and Green Party candidate Jill Stein has one percent.
Americans won't forget the devastating impact Bidenomics has had on their pocketbooks, as wages have stagnated and the cost of living has risen. Vice President Harris won't be able to escape the Biden administration's failures, and they could cost her the election in November.
