WATCH: Trump Doesn't Hold Back After Jury Heads To Deliberate - 'Mother Theresa Could Not Beat These Charges'

On Wednesday, the 12-person jury in Trump's business record fraud case brought by Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg (D) began their deliberations on whether to acquit or find the 45th president guilty of 34 counts of falsifying business records. Following the conclusion of closing arguments, Trump told the press that the "trial is rigged" and that it would be difficult to beat the charges with such a conflicted judge.

"Mother Theresa could not beat these charges. These charges are rigged. The whole thing is rigged. The whole country is a mess between the borders and fake elections, to have a trial like this where the judge is so conflicted he can't breathe. He's got to do his job," Trump said. "I took a big lead in the polls over the last few weeks. Something is going on. Because I think the people of this country see that this is a rigged deal."

"Then they had a protest with Robert De Niro yesterday, who is a fool, a broken down fool. He got MAGA'd yesterday. He got a big dose of it," the presumptive GOP nominee said in reference to a Biden campaign press conference hosted by the actor outside the courthouse on Tuesday. "Remember, November 5, the most important day in the history of our country. In the meantime, this trial is rigged."

Following a week-long case that saw over 20 witnesses take the stand, the jury was sent to begin their deliberations at around 11:30 AM EST, following jury instructions from Judge Juan Merchan. The jury instructions have been described as unprecedented, with the judge splitting the jury up into three groups of four to consider the three alleged crimes that Trump committed. "Merchan just delivered the coup de grace instruction. He said that there is no need to agree on what occurred. They can disagree on what the crime was among the three choices.  Thus, this means that they could split 4-4-4, and he will still treat them as unanimous," legal expert Jonathan Turley explained.

Trump is facing 34 charges of falsifying business records, with the prosecution claiming that he violated federal campaign finance law when he reimbursed his former lawyer, Michael Cohen after Cohen paid adult film star Stormy Daniels $130,000 not to go to press with an alleged affair that she had with Trump in 2006. While the level of legal maneuverings needed to come to turn these legal non-disclosure agreements is immense, the 12-person jury now will determine if the former leader of the free world will have to face time behind bars.
