WATCH: Trump Family Houses Linemen Preparing For Hurricane Milton At Florida Hotel

With Hurricane Milton set to make landfall on Wednesday night, Florida authorities are ordering mandatory evacuations and preparing the state for devastation from the Category 4 storm. To assist with the preparation and recovery efforts, President Donald Trump's son, Eric Trump, revealed that Trump National Doral in Miami would be hosting 275 linemen responsible for restoring power across the state after the hurricane hits.

"Honored to have 275 incredible linemen from FPL at [Trump Doral] as they get ready to respond to the aftermath of Hurricane #Milton!" Trump Organization Executive Vice President Eric Trump wrote on X. "You are amazing and the Trump Family, and entire state of Florida, appreciates you! Enjoy the rooms - they are the best in Florida! Be safe!"

The hotel, which has a room capacity of 643 and normally goes for well over $300 a night, will house the linemen as they prepare to tackle the mass blackouts that are expected from the storm. According to Florida's Voice, Gov. Ron DeSantis (R-FL) has assembled the largest staging of linemen in the nation's history, with 50,000 workers ready to go. "We have worked with the utilities to have the largest staging of utility workers and linemen in advance of the storm at any time in American history. We will have in Florida, by the time the storm arrives, over 50,000 linemen, and those linemen are being brought in from places as far away as California. As soon as that storm passes, you're going to see the assessments, and the power restoration efforts commence immediately," the Florida governor said.

In addition to getting the utility companies to bring in tens of thousands of workers to the Sunshine State, Gov. DeSantis ordered the deployment of 6,000 national guardsmen and managed to get 3,000 national guardsmen from other states to assist. The Florida State Guard is also deploying 200 soldiers and ten maritime crews, as reported by Florida's Voice.

On Wednesday, the National Hurricane Center Director Michael Brennan warned Florida residents that "the conditions are going to rapidly deteriorate over the next few hours, especially where landfall is going to occur along the west coast," he explained. "Even as close as we are to landfall, it's not really possible to tell exactly where that worst (storm) surge will occur. It's one wobble away from shifting 10 or 20 miles, so that's why we conveyed that risk across such a large area." The storm surge is expected to reach over 10 feet in some areas and reach as high as 15 feet at the storm's epicenter.

The Trump Organization's willingness to assist Florida by housing the linemen shows their willingness to support Floridians in their time of need. The state will need all the help it can get as Hurricane Milton bears down on Florida and threatens the lives and property of millions of residents.
