WATCH: President Trump Gives Mom Of Three $100 During Grocery Trip - 'We’ll Do That For You From The White House'

During a visit to the Sprankle's Neighborhood Market in Kittanning, Pennsylvania, on Monday, 45th President Donald Trump took the time to visit with voters and even gave $100 to a mother of three to help her pay for her groceries as he attempted to highlight the burdensome impact of inflation on prices in the Keystone state. Trump's kind gesture was criticized by some left-wing commentators online who claimed that the act of generosity was illegal.

In a video shared by the Trump campaign, Trump can be heard telling the woman, "Here, it's gonna go down a little. It just went down 100 bucks." After thanking the former president for his generosity, Trump said that he wants to do the same thing in the White House. "We'll do that for you from the White House, all right?" Trump told the Pennsylvania mother, as reported by The New York Post. Trump also inquired about the woman's children who were in the store with her, saying that they were "beautiful" and "perfecto."

After the video went viral on social media, left-wing commentators attempted to argue that the move violated election law. "Donald Trump was busted handing out money to voters to cover groceries at a campaign stop. This is a clear violation of election law," wrote the X account Call To Activism.

While some attempted to condemn his generosity, Turning Point USA founder Charlie Kirk for helping the mother of three. "Amazing! President Trump helps a mother of three boys pay for her groceries," he wrote on X. "Grocery prices are up 36.5% overall since 2019 because of Biden-Harris economic policies. Eggs are ⬆️ 63%, Sugar is ⬆️ 38%, Bread is ⬆️ 34%, Cereal is ⬆️ 29%. This is the way."

President Trump visited the store to grab a bag of popcorn before his rally in Indiana, Pennsylvania, later in the day. During the rally, Trump highlighted the impact of the Biden-Harris administration's policies on the economy, immigration, and grocery prices.
