On Wednesday, leading Republican presidential candidate and 45th President Donald Trump spoke with the press outside the New York City courtroom where the $250 million fraud case was brought by New York Attorney General Letitia James (D-NY) against him and his businesses.
"Today if you read the New York law journal, they basically say they have no case against Trump but I'm here stuck here," Trump began. "I would rather be right now in Iowa, I’d rather be in New Hampshire or South Carolina, or Ohio or a lot of other places."
"But I’m stuck here because I have a corrupt attorney general that communicates with the DOJ in Washington to keep me nice and busy because I'm leading Biden in the polls by a lot," he explained. "That's all this is. This is election interference."
"They made up a fake case. They're fraudulent people and the judge already knows what he's going to do," the leading Republican candidate continued. "He's a Democrat judge. In all fairness to him, he has no choice. He's run by the Democrats."
"I know this city better than anyone knows this city because no one knows it like I do. He's a Democrat judge out of the clubhouses. He's controlled and it's a shame. What's going on here is a shame," Trump remarked. "Our whole system is corrupt. This is corrupt, Atlanta is corrupt, and what is coming out of D.C. is corrupt."
When asked why he would attend the hearing, Trump explained that he wanted to show the press and the American people how "corrupt" the case against him truly is.
Trump also took to Truth Social to explain the case agaisnt him, writing, "Just arrived at the Witch Hunt Trial taking place in the very badly failing (so sadly!) State of New York, where people and companies are fleeing by the thousands. Corrupt Attorney General, Letitia James, is a big reason for this. Statute 63(12) is meant to be used for Consumer Fraud. It has never been used before on a “case” such as this, especially since I did absolutely nothing wrong. I borrowed money, paid it back, in full, and got sued, years later, with a trial RIGHT IN THE MIDDLE OF MY CAMPAIGN. I am not even entitled, under any circumstances, to a JURY. This Witch Hunt cannot be allowed to continue. It is Election Interference and the start of Communism right here in America!"

"The respected New York Law Journal writes that the 'Dissolution Ordered in '‘People of the State of New York v. Trump’' Appears Unwarranted.' Wow, that’s BIG. The whole trial is a Democrat inspired HOAX, just like Russia, Russia, Russia, the SPYING on my campaign, the 51 Fake “Intelligence” Agents, the FISA forgeries, and everything else," Trump added later in the day. "THIS IS A TOTAL WITCH HUNT, WHERE I AM NOT EVEN ALLOWED TO HAVE A JURY. The corrupt A.G., Letitia James, convinced the Judge that Mar-a-Lago is only worth $18,000,000 when, in fact, it may be worth 50 to 100 times that amount. Based on their fake lowball number, the Judge ruled that I committed Fraud. NO, CORRUPT LETITIA COMMITTED FRAUD. Her papers are the Fraudulent ones, not mine, and she doesn’t have a DISCLAIMER CLAUSE. This case should never have been brought!!!"
