WATCH: Trump Holds Lengthy Press Conference As Kamala Harris Continues To Evade The Press - 'WHERE'S KAMALA?'

On Thursday, Republican nominee Donald Trump held a lengthy press conference that lasted over an hour at his Mar-a-Lago resort in Palm Beach, Florida, in stark contrast to Vice President Kamala Harris, who has refused to take questions from reporters since announcing her campaign over two weeks ago. The contrast between the two candidates' openness is stark, with Trump not shying away from a single question as Harris continues to hold heavily-scripted campaign events in swing states nationwide.

"President Trump has been answering questions from the media for over an hour... WHERE'S KAMALA?" Trump's campaign account wrote on X.  Republican vice presidential nominee JD Vance (R-OH) voiced a similar message: "President Trump is taking questions from reporters as Kamala Harris hides behind a teleprompter. It's been 18 days since she answered real questions from the media." The Trump campaign has been slamming Harris for refusing to take questions from the media since Biden exited the race, arguing that it is a sign that the Democrats know how weak Harris is in unscripted moments.

Sen. JD Vance even attempted to confront Harris on a Wisconsin tarmac on Wednesday to demand answers about her lack of transparency, but he could only speak to the lonely reporters that had assembled outside Air Force Two who weren't granted the opportunity to question the vice president.

The Republican nominee's press conference covered a wide range of topics, including the state of the race, whether or not Harris' honeymoon period would last, Trump's various policy positions, and simpler topics like whether he would hold a daily press briefing at the White House in his second term. The 45th president's most newsworthy comment during the 72-minute press conference revealed that he had agreed to three debates with various news networks.

"I think it's very important to have debates. We have agreed with Fox on a date of September 4. We've agreed with NBC, fairly full agreement subject to them, on September 10, and we've agreed with ABC on September 25. So we have those three dates and those networks, they are very anxiously awaiting those dates," Trump said. "We have spoken to the heads of the network, and it's all been confirmed." The Trump campaign later clarified that the September 10 debate would be with ABC News and the September 25 debate would be with NBC News.

While President Trump has agreed to do debates with the three networks, Vice President Harris has refused to commit to the Fox News debate proposed on September 4. Instead, the Harris campaign insisted that Trump commit to the ABC debate on September 10, initially set up when President Biden was still running for a second term. Trump's challenge to Harris now puts pressure on the vice president to agree to not one but three debates.

The Harris campaign has yet to confirm whether it will participate in the Fox News or NBC News debates on September 4 and September 25. However, Trump's announcement indicates that there will be at least one debate between the two candidates on September 10.
