WATCH: Trump Promises To End Taxes On Overtime Pay To Help The 'Hardest Working Citizens In Our Country'

During a rally in Tucson, Arizona, on Thursday, 45th President Donald Trump unveiled another economic policy that showcases his vision for a prosperous and growing American economy: no tax on overtime pay. Trump's promise to no longer tax the overtime wages of America's hardest-working employees, those working over 40 hours a week, is his latest move to slash the amount of taxes the everyday worker pays to the federal government.

"We will end all taxes on overtime. You know what that means? Think of that. That gives people more of an incentive to work, it gives the companies a lot, it's a lot easier to get the people," Trump explained to the Arizona crowd. "The people who work overtime are among the hardest working citizens in our country, and for too long, no one in Washington has been looking out for them."

While Trump did not elaborate on the specifics of his policy, the idea builds on his promise to end the tax on tips to help service workers keep their hard-earned cash. Vice President Kamala Harris would promote the same idea weeks later.

In response to Trump's tax plan to end overtime taxation, the Harris campaign stated it was a "desperate" attempt at tricking voters. "No matter how much he lies now, Donald Trump's record and agenda are clear – as president, he stole millions of dollars of wages from the workers he purports to represent," Harris campaign spokesman Joseph Costello stated per The Hill. "He is desperate and scrambling and saying whatever it takes to try to trick people into voting for him. If he takes power again, he will only look out for himself and his billionaire buddies and their big corporations. There's only one candidate in this race who will actually fight for workers: Vice President Kamala Harris."

The Harris campaign can malign Trump's pro-growth strategy to get the American economy back up to the impressive growth levels seen during Trump's first administration. Still, they can't argue that Trump's tax ideas aren't popular. After all, the vice president adopted the same policy of no taxes on tips as President Trump. Meanwhile, the Harris campaign wants to build an "opportunity economy," as they lay out on the issues page of their campaign website. Still, the unique economic policies that they have proposed ($25,000 down payment assistance for first-time home buyers and a ban on corporate price gouging) have been slammed by economists.

The American people know who's best fit to manage and grow the economy. A post-debate survey from CNN found that 55 percent of voters trusted Trump more on the economy, while only 35 percent trusted Harris. President Trump's economic record speaks for itself, and his bold tax proposals will reshape the way Americans work.
