WATCH: Trump Releases Devastating New Ad Slamming Biden For Going To East Palestine One Year Too Late

On Friday, President Joe Biden is traveling to East Palestine, Ohio, over a year after a train derailed in the small town, leading to massive health issues for residents after a massive chemical spill of vinyl chloride was vented and burned by officials with the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA). In response to the visit, 45th President Donald Trump, who visited the site a few days after the disaster, released an ad slamming Biden's absence.

"It was such a great honor to be with the people of East Palestine immediately after the tragic event took place," Trump wrote on Truth Social. "I got to know so many of the people, in particular the wonderful Mayor, Trent Conaway. Biden should have gone there a long time ago—for him to go now is an insult to those who live and work in East Palestine, and the Great State of Ohio, itself."

"I can't believe anyone wants him there. I know he doesn't want to be there, and even he knows he is making a mistake, because he is pandering to people who are smart, politically savvy and, unfortunately, badly hurt by Biden's in-actions and lack of caring," he continued. "It will be so interesting to see how they meet and greet this FRAUD and the THUGS that surround him!"

East Palestine residents have already begun speaking out against Biden's visit to the town, with one resident explaining, "I don't want just another politician coming to our town for his propaganda and for his upcoming re-election."

Another resident slammed Biden's lack of action 378 days after the tragic derailment that has brought various health issues to the dozens of families that live in the town of under 5,000. "If he's not coming here to take action, then why come?" resident Jami Wallace asked. "It's been a year of tucking our kids into beds where we don't know if our homes are safe because they haven't been tested. They won't test our soil. The EPA is telling us that nothing's wrong. We're all sick. Our bodies are telling us different. As a parent, a wife, a daughter, this is unacceptable in the United States of America, and it is just hard to believe that anyone can ignore what is going on in our community."

When President Trump traveled to East Palestine last year to deliver supplies and meet with local families, he showed what true leadership looks like and proved that he was a man of the people. President Biden's visit over a year later proves he is simply going to the disaster zone to save face. If he really cared about the Ohioans affected by the fallout of the derailment, he would have been in the town 365 days ago.
