During an all-female townhall on Wednesday with Fox News reporter Harris Faulkner, 45th President Donald Trump revealed that he would be in favor of banning transgender athletes from competing in women's sports, explaining that the biological males have an unfair advantage and could seriously hurt women and girls in sports. Before Trump's answer, however, every woman at the town hall said they were worried about biological men competing against women.
"How do you plan on addressing the transgender issue in women's sports?" a woman named Linda from Milton, Georgia, asked. "I have nine grandchildren, six of them female, all playing sports. We are very concerned for their safety not just on the field and the courts but in their locker rooms as well."
"It's such an easy question. We're not going to let it happen," Trump said. "Just yesterday, they had a volleyball match where a person who transitioned, you have to be very careful because this could terminate your political career if you're slightly off, from man to female. And I saw the slam. I've never seen a ball hit so hard."
"We stop it. We absolutely stop it. You can't have it. It's a man playing in the game," the Republican presidential candidate said. "You just ban it. The president bans it. You just don't let it happen." President Trump's response was praised by activist Riley Gaines, who wrote, "Harris Faulkner asks a room full of women how many of them are concerned about their daughters having to compete against a man in their sports. EVERY woman raises their hand. Trump says he will executively ban men from competing in women's sports. GOOD"
As previously reported by the DC Enquirer, the Trump campaign highlighted the issue of Vice President Kamala Harris' support of transgender athletes in a campaign ad that is airing in battleground states. "Kamala even supports letting biological men compete against our girls in their sports," the ad's narrator says. "Kamala is for they/them, President Trump is for you."
President Trump and Republican Senate candidates nationwide have repeatedly highlighted the issue of transgender athletes in female sports. GOP candidates like Bernie Moreno (R-OH), Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX), and Dave McCormick (R-PA) have all used the line of attack against their Democrat opponents. While Democrats and Vice President Harris have attempted to downplay the issue of transgenderism in their reelection campaigns, they have repeatedly come out in support of legislation that would force female athletes to compete with and share locker rooms with transgender individuals. President Trump is right on this issue, and female athletes must be protected.

There's no such thing as a "transgender individual." There are only males and females, and no amount of hormone therapy combined with disfiguring surgeries can change that reality.
