WATCH: At Packed Rally, Trump Vows To Ban Military Transgender Surgeries, End Veteran Homelessness, And Hold Generals Responsible For Botched Afghanistan Withdrawal

On Tuesday, leading 2024 Republican candidate and 45th President Donald Trump held a rally in Windham, New Hampshire with a packed venue focused on veterans and their issues.

During the speech, President Trump made various promises that he would fulfill upon entering office in January 2025. The GOP candidate began his remarks by announcing the formation of a Veterans for Trump Coalition that is comprised of 120 veterans from across the state.

Included in his remarks were various policy proposals including ending veteran suicide, banning transgender surgeries in the military, holding generals responsible for the botched Afghanistan withdrawal, and much more.

“I will once again make stopping veterans suicide a top priority of my administration," Trump said, adding that the state of New Hampshire will be getting its first, fully operational veterans hospital.

“I will ban the Department of Veterans Affairs from wasting a single cent to fund transgender surgeries or sex change procedures," the 45th president said. "Those precious taxpayer dollars should be going to care for veterans in need, not fund radical gender experiments for the Communist left.”

“In addition, I will make it a personal mission to totally eradicate veterans’ homelessness in America," the leading Republican candidate explained. "It is a national scandal that Joe Biden has spent nearly $1 billion dollars to house illegal aliens and foreign migrants in expensive luxury hotels, while more than 33,000 Americans who have served this nation in uniform go homeless on our streets.”

“On day one, I will sign an executive order to cut off Joe Biden’s massive spigot of funding for the shelter and transport of illegal aliens, and I will redirect that money to provide shelter and treatment for homeless American veterans," Trump added.

“Furthermore, I will finally hold accountable all the failed leaders and television generals who gave us Joe Biden’s catastrophe in Afghanistan two years ago this month—leaving untold numbers of Americans behind, 13 dead warriors, and $85 billion dollars worth of the finest military equipment on the planet," the New York City real estate mogul said.

In addition to his promise to hold the generals accountable, Trump explained that he called the various Gold Star families who lost their loved ones during the Afghanistan withdrawal.

It is increasingly clear that President Trump wants to put America's veterans first and the strides that he was able to make during his first term would only continue for another four years.
