WATCH: Venezuelan Leader Nicolas Maduro Challenges Billionaire Elon Musk To A Fight On National Television

Following a fraudulent presidential election in the socialist country of Venezuela over the weekend, Venezuelan dictator Nicolas Maduro challenged billionaire Elon Musk to a fight on national television after the Tesla CEO pointed out the various electoral discrepancies in the results and sided with protesters demanding the socialist president's ouster.

"Maduro, leave! Venezuelans chose to end the communist dictatorship of Nicolas Maduro," the world's richest man wrote on X. "The data announce a crushing victory of the opposition, and the world is waiting for you to recognize the defeat after years of socialism, misery, decadence, and death."

Musk's assertions, which correspond with American and European Union assessments of the fraudulent election in the South American nation, quickly got the attention of Maduro and led him to claim in a broadcast that Musk is a danger to Venezuela because he plans to invade the country with his SpaceX rockets.

"Social media creates a virtual reality, and who controls the virtual reality? Our new archenemy, the famous Elon Musk," Maduro said before adding, "Whoever messes with me dries up, whoever messes with Venezuela dries up, Elon Musk. Do you want to fight? Let's do it. Elon Musk, I'm ready. I'm not afraid of you, Elon Musk. Let's fight, wherever you want."

In response to Maduro's challenge, the billionaire accepted it, posting to X, "I accept," and adding in a separate post, "He will chicken out." In a previous post, Musk insulted the Venezuelan leader, posting, "El burro sabe mas que Maduro," which translates to "The donkey knows more than Maduro."

The quarrel between the two men ignited after the Maduro-loyal Venezuela's National Electoral Council announced that the dictator had received 51 percent of the vote in the national election and that opposition candidate Edmundo Gonzalez only won 44 percent of the people's support. Secretary of State Antony Blinken told reporters that he had doubts about the election's validity. "We have serious concerns that the result announced does not reflect the will or the votes of the Venezuelan people," he explained.

Sen. Marco Rubio (R-FL) has also been a vocal critic of Maduro's regime, writing on Sunday, "The Maduro regime in #Venezuela has just carried out the most predictable and ridiculous sham election in modern history." Following the election's results, thousands of Venezuelans have taken to the streets to protest the fraudulent results and fight for the future of democracy in their nation.

As the Venezuelan people fight for freedom and democracy, the interaction between the socialist dictator and the richest man in the world shows the true absurdity of 2024. While it is unlikely that a fight would happen, it's not impossible given the various unthinkable events that have occurred in recent weeks.
