On Tuesday, MSNBC host and former Biden White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki fantasized about presumptive GOP nominee Donald Trump's death during a segment on 'Morning Joe,' leading to considerable backlash on social media.
"Maybe Donald Trump will go away. Maybe he'll go to jail. Maybe he will die," Psaki said during the morning segment. "Not to be too morbid. But maybe. He's not a young man." Trump, currently 77 years old, has shown his ability to withstand a burdensome campaign schedule in recent months as he faces repeated attacks from left-wing prosecutors while juggling a plethora of campaign stops across the country. Perhaps more than any other period in his previous two presidential elections, Trump is more energized than ever.
Psaki's morbid comment landed her in hot water with conservative commentators on X. TPUSA Founder Charlie Kirk wrote, "Jen Psaki went on Morning Joe this morning to fantasize about all the ways Donald Trump can be taken off the chessboard...They want Trump dead." Podcast host Joey Mannarino described the former White House press secretary as "vile," and many others claimed that Psaki suffered from "Trump Derangement Syndrome."
While Psaki may fantasize about Trump's death in the near future, the 45th president's personal doctor came out with a report last year that showed Trump in stellar health. In a letter shared on Truth Social by Trump, Dr. Bruce A. Aronwald wrote, "I am pleased to report that President Trump's overall health is excellent. His physical exams were well within the normal range and his cognitive exams were exceptional. In addition, his most recent extensive laboratory analysis remains well within normal limits and was even more favorable than prior testing in some of the most significant parameters, most likely secondary to weight reduction. Cardiovascular studies are all normal and cancer screening tests are all negative. President Trump has reduced his weight through an improved diet and continued daily physical activity, while maintaining a rigorous schedule."
"It is my opinion that President Trump is currently in excellent health, and with his continued interest in preventative health monitoring and maintenance, he will continue to enjoy a healthy, active lifestyle for years to come," the doctor added.
While Democrats may wish for Trump to leave the political arena, one way or another, they have their own problems to worry about when it comes to an aging presidential candidate. President Biden, currently 81, has shown the American people his inability to mentally keep up with the most demanding job in the world, and voters are noticing.
According to a recent poll from the Associated Press, a staggering 63 percent of respondents expressed their lack of confidence in President Biden's mental capabilities, stating they are 'not very or not at all confident.' When broken down by party, the results are equally alarming for the D, with Biden losing the confidence of 32 percent of Democrats, 80 percent of independents, and a whopping 91 percent of Republicans.
