WATCH: Yet Another Train Derails With Hazardous Materials on Board in Detroit As Lawmakers Blast Buttigieg for East Palestine, Ohio Tragedy

On Thursday, a train derailed in the Van Buren township near Detroit, Michigan carrying hazardous materials. The incident comes two weeks after a train derailed in East Palestine, Ohio releasing toxic chemicals into the air and water.

As of this report, there have been no reported injuries but hazmat teams have responded to the incident, as reported by Fox News.

At least six cars derailed from the tracks including one car that contained hazardous materials.

“We are also in touch with the relevant federal authorities, including the EPA,” said Rep. Debbie Dingell (D-MI). “At this time no one is aware of the release of any hazardous materials, the car carrying hazardous material has been put upright and is being removed from the area of the other derailed cars, and EPA is dispatching a team to ensure public safety.”

The incident comes as two more trains derailed earlier this week in Houston, Texas, and Enoree, North Carolina, as previously reported by the DC Enquirer.

On Monday, officials in Enoree, South Carolina are responding to a train derailment, according to Fox Carolina.

Additionally, a train derailed in Splendora, Texas near Houston leading to the death of a truck driver and the derailment of several cars, according to Houston Public Media.

The crash took place at approximately 7:30 a.m. when a Union Pacific train collided with an 18-wheeler.

According to a Union Pacific official, over 100 gallons of diesel fuel were released by the truck following the crash. Union Pacific dispatched a hazard team to assess the damage.

As trains across the country continue to derail and put the lives of Americans at risk, Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg is nowhere to be seen.
