'We're F*cked': Democrats Panic Following Biden's Abysmal Debate Performance - 'This Race Is Over'

After an abysmal debate performance on Thursday evening, Democrats are in a full-blown panic. Biden's age showed through at nearly every moment of the 90-minute debate. From the slack-jawed, glassy-eyed look to the stumbling and incoherent answers, the president of the United States gave the worst debate performance in history.

According to Senior White House Correspondent Jacqui Heinrich, Democrat sources have explained that they don't see a path forward with President Biden at the top of the ticket. "The race is over," one source said. "We are f*cked," another source added. The Democrat insiders said that the second debate with ABC News on September 10 should be abandoned by Biden's team.

"I've been asking whether any heads will roll in Biden's inner circle – the resounding answer is no, which is depressing to many of them," Heinrich reported. "Sources agreed with my assessment that Biden was over-produced, struggling to reach for pre-fabricated lines that his aides tried to drill into his memory over 7 days of practice. Nobody seems to have an idea of what the remedy is as of now."

Despite the devastating performance and Democrat panic, the Biden campaign announced that the president is not dropping out of the race. "Of course, he's not dropping out," Biden campaign spokesperson Seth Schuster told The Hill. At a Waffle House after the debate, President Biden dismissed concerns about his performance, saying, "No. It's hard to debate a liar. The New York Times pointed out he lied 26 times."

Despite Biden's attempts at damage control, a flash poll conducted by CNN after the debate found that only 33 percent of those surveyed who watched the debate felt that Biden won, while a whopping 67 percent believed that Trump won. Biden's backers in the media came to the same conclusion, with a survey of New York Times columnists finding that not a single writer believed that Biden even came close to winning, with a majority believing that Trump decisively won.

"The chatter is very distracting, and it's going to be very consuming for the campaign," former Biden press secretary Jen Psaki said on an MSNBC panel following the debate. "Should he be replaced? They're going to be answering that question instead of breaking through on attacking Trump."

President Biden's mental breakdown has been apparent for years, and Democrats have repeatedly said that the public should ignore Biden's multiple public gaffes because he's sharp in private. His debate performance on Thursday put those assertions to rest. Democrats realize the dire situation that they've put themselves in, and with few options left, just four and a half months left till the election, Democrats might be stuck with a nominee that has thoroughly embarrassed himself and handicapped his electoral chances.
