White House Takes Drastic Measures To Hide Biden's Age During Brief Marine One Walks, Report Finds

A recent report from Axios has brought to light a growing concern within the White House-President Joe Biden's physical condition. His brief walks to and from the presidential helicopter Marine One, marked by a stiff gait, are increasingly seen as a potential detriment to his reelection campaign, serving as a constant reminder of his age.

Since mid-April, the president has been joined by an entourage of White House staff or lawmakers as he went to board or depart from Marine One to distract from the president's lack of agility. According to Axios, deputy chiefs of staff Bruce Reed, Annie Tomasini, and advisor Mike Donilon have been seen walking the president to the helicopter in recent weeks.

White Hosue spokesperson Andrew Bates diminished the move by Biden's staff, telling Axios, "He's fully visible except for a few seconds. Impeach." Biden's aides have taken multiple steps to prevent embarrassing mishaps on the campaign trail, including making the president wear more supportive shoes and using the short stairs on Air Force One to prevent the tripping seen earlier in the presidency. Despite these repeated signs of deterioration, Biden's doctor declared him "fit for duty" earlier this year but disclosed that the president suffers from "spinal arthritis" and "mild sensory peripheral neuropathy of the feet."

However, the drastic measures taken to prevent Americans from noticing Biden's age have not prevented Biden from continuing to have embarrassing gaffes during his speeches. President Biden delivered prepared remarks on Wednesday at North America's Building Trade Union National Legislative Conference in Washington, D.C. However, during Biden's remarks, the 81-year-old Democrat had yet another humiliating moment, this time reading the stage directions from the teleprompter.

"Imagine what we could do next. Four more years. Pause," Biden said, reading the stage directions via the teleprompter. The audience, in a clearly staged moment, then broke into chants of "Four more years!" Moments like these are hurting the president's reelection campaign and making voters less certain about reelecting a man who would be 86 by the time he left office at the end of his second term.

According to a recent poll from the Associated Press, 63 percent of respondents said they are "not very or not at all confident" in President Biden's mental capabilities. Broken down by party, Biden has lost the confidence of 32 percent of Democrats, 80 percent of independents, and 91 percent of Republicans.

When the White House is concerned about Biden's brief two-minute walks to and from the White House to Marine One, all Americans should be worried that their commander-in-chief cannot fulfill his duties as president.
