'You Want To Run Your Mouth?': Brawl Nearly Breaks Out In Congress After Senator Challenges Witness To Fight - 'We Can Do It Here'

On Tuesday, a brawl nearly broke out in Congress between Sen. Markwayne Mullin (R-OK) and Teamster labor leader Sean O'Brien after the two men went head to head during a congressional hearing. The moment was spurred by a tweet that O'Brien had sent in June that attacked Mullin as a "Greedy CEO" and who is a "fraud."

"Greedy CEO who pretends like he's self made," O'Brien wrote in June on X/Twitter. "In reality, just a clown & fraud. Always has been, always will be. Quit the tough guy act in these senate hearings. You know where to find me. Anyplace, Anytime cowboy."

In response to the attack, Mullin confronted O'Brien during the hearing, saying, "Sir, this is a time, this is a place. Do you want to run your mouth? We can be two consenting adults. We can do it here," Mullin said, to which O'Brien said, "Okay, that's fine. Perfect." This led the two men to both stand-up and stare each other down before Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-VT) broke up the showdown, saying, "Hold it. Stop it. Sit down. You know, you're a United States senator."

The fight has already gained considerable attention online with Robby Starbuck writing, "Sen. Markwayne Mullin read a tweet from Teamster boss Sean O'Brien that basically challenged him to a fist fight. Markwayne accepted the challenge and Bernie Sanders jumped in like the grandpa at Thanksgiving who tries to stop the grandkids from fighting."

John

Now children STFU and sit down. What ever happened to grown adults? They seem to be going extinct. Uncle Fetterman wears sweats to the Senate and senators want to brawl on the senate floor what happened to the decorum? Our government has turned into a corrupt Idiocracy. What do you want to bet those two had drinks together after the hearing? Senator Mullin should know better than to respond to childish name calling.
