In one of the most unusual stories to come across the Twitter newsfeed in quite some time, the platform's owner Elon Musk replied to a tweet from regular Spaces host Mario Nawfal regarding the rumored release of Meta's upcoming competitive platform allegedly called 'Threads' aka 'Project 92'. In an abrupt message, Musk suggested that he and Mark Zuckerberg participate in a cage-fighting match.
Zuckerberg then responded via Instagram (naturally) "Send Me Location."
Zuckerberg, according to The Post Millennial, has been training and posted an image to Instagram of him allegedly participating in the Murph challenge on Memorial Day, which is comprised of "One of Lt Murphy's favorite workouts was running a mile, then doing 100 pull ups, 200 push ups, 300 squats, and then running another mile -- all while wearing a 20lb weighted pack." Zuckerberg even boasted a respectable time of 39:58.
The Facebook founder has also shared a video of him training in jiu-jitsu with expert grappler Mikey Musumeci just four days ago "for our MMA debuts."
Reporting from The Verge appeared to confirm the reply is, in fact, from Zuckerberg's Instagram, and a Meta spokeswoman Iska Saric told the website, "The story speaks for itself."
Elon responded, "If this is for real, I will do it," and specified his venue on Twitter as the "Vegas octagon." Musk even specified that he might utilize a move he calls "The Walrus" on Zuckerberg. He described it as "where I just lie on top of my opponent & do nothing."
He described the move to "Full Send Podcast," laughing.
Embattled kickboxer and YouTuber Andrew Tate tweeted his support behind Musk, offering to train him, seeing a familiar opponent in Zuckerberg. He wrote, "Meta banned me everywhere for telling the truth about vaccines. But now we can restore honour with a strike at the enemy clans leader. I will train you @elonmusk. You will not lose."
