'Campaign Broke Fundraising Records': Trump Campaign Sees Eye Popping Fundraising Numbers For August After Merch Sales Explode

Despite the mugshot intending to be a massive insult to Donald Trump, the scheme has completely blown up in the Democrats' face as the former president has managed to raise over $9.4 million since having his mugshot taken last week in Georgia, bringing the total for August up to $20 million.

As previously reported by the DC Enquirer, the first 48 hours alone saw massive success for the campaign fundraising. In the period, the Trump campaign managed to raise $7.1 million and set a new record for earnings in a single 24-hour period with $4.18 million being brought in the immediate day after.

The momentum died slightly but was still undoubtedly there as the New York mogul managed to earn $9.4 million in a week. Much of the merchandise that was sold featured the photo of Trump in the Fulton County jail, with 36,000 t-shirts with the picture being sold and making over $1.7 million for the campaign.

Other mugshot-related merchandise was sold in high numbers with coffee mugs moving 24,000 units and earning $864,000 and 8,600 posts netting $352,000. The Trump campaign told Fox News that these funds would not be used for legal expenses but instead entirely be “earmarked” for political and campaign-related activities.

The buzz around the picture was massive, with it being the first post that the former president made to X (formerly Twitter) in two and a half years since his suspension and garnering well over 200 million views in a matter of days. The post also linked to his website where he described his appearance at the jail and discussed how the left is pushing against him running again in 2024.

"Thank you to MSNBC, CNN, FOX News, NY Times, Wash Post, and every other outlet for displaying Pres. Trump’s mug shot," wrote Trump campaign official Steven Cheung. "Campaign broke fundraising records and a big lead in the polls continues to grow. Please continue to show it."

Donald Trump and his campaign team managed to expertly turn a massive hit against the GOP frontrunner and his campaign into a massive boom that has catapulted him even further into the hearts of the American people. The Trump movement seems entirely unstoppable at this point in time despite the numerous attempts by the left to discredit and defame Trump.
