Another Democrat Mayor Is Feeling Pain Of Southern Border Crisis As Illegal Immigrants Overrun City: ‘Real Burden’

New York City Mayor Eric Adams (D) told reporters at a press conference last week, that the influx of illegal immigrants into his city is becoming a “real burden for New Yorkers.”

Migrants who have been flown to New York by the federal government, have stretched city resources by forcing it to provide resources related to “food, clothing, [and] school,” Adams said.

“This is going to impact our schools because we do not turn away individuals because they’re undocumented [or] need translation services,” he continued.

The far-left mayor had reached out to the federal government for assistance since the Big Apple apparently, “need[s] help in getting this done,” Adams said, adding, “We need the right coordination to make it happen.”

In response to the mayor’s plea, Gov. Greg Abbott (R-TX), who has been busing illegal immigrants into Washington D.C., issued a statement on Friday, telling the New York liberal to take his frustrations to the White House.

“Mayor Adams’ problem is not with Texas. It is with President Biden’s refusal to stop this border crisis and secure our southern border,” the governor stated. “President Biden’s open border policies created this ongoing humanitarian crisis, allowing record-high illegal crossings and deadly drugs like fentanyl to flood into our state.”

BIDEN ADMINISTRATION DECIDES TO STOP PROSECUTING ILLEGAL IMMIGRANTS

The head of the Lone Star state emphasized the impact that federal southern border policies have had on Texas, as the crisis, “has overrun and overwhelmed our border towns and communities across our state, whose requests for help have gone ignored and unanswered by the Biden Administration.”

“I launched our border busing mission back in April to help our local partners, busing over 5,500 migrants to Washington, D.C. so far.” Abbott added, stating, “Texas has not bused any migrants to New York. Instead, it is President Biden who has flown plane loads of migrants to New York.”

The border-state governor concluded his statement by highlighting who is responsible for the current migrant crisis — which has not only impacted Texas, but has begun to impact all major American cities.

“Mayor Adams should address his frustration with migrants to the root cause: Joe Biden,” he shot back.

Adams’ public complaints come just days after Washington D.C. Mayor Muriel Bowser, who appeared on CBS’ “Face the Nation” Sunday, stated that the illegal immigrants being bused to the nation’s capital from the southern border are being tricked, and that the federal government needs to take measures to prevent it.

With border communities feeling the consequences of Biden’s relaxed border policies, it seems like the people in New York and Washington are finally getting a small taste of the potentially deadly realities that Texans — and other border state citizens — face on a near daily basis.
