The Left is Terrified After New ‘Politico’ Owner Aims to Rid the Outlet of Egregious Left-Wing Bias

Liberals are crumbling as Politico’s new owner Mathias Döpfner, announced plans to take the outlet in a more politically-neutral direction. This news was a trembling blow for many on the left who have depended on Politico for years to provide them with ideologically-skewed information.

In an interview with The Washington Post, Döpfner said, “We want to prove that being nonpartisan is actually the more successful positioning.”

It also seems that Döpfner realizes how anti-Trump Politico’s writers are when he sent an email out saying, “Do we all want to get together for an hour in the morning on November 3 and pray that Donald Trump will again become the President of the United States of America.” When asked if the email was representative of Döpfner’s personal views, he said it was meant as a “provocative statement in the circle of people that hate Donald Trump.”

Politico isn’t the only outlet trying to reign in its Leftist bias. CNN announced their own plans to do this last month, with a high-up CNN insider telling The Wrap that “It’s not a good brand position to be the opposite of Fox News” and that CNN head Chris Licht wants “to be tough and no bulls—, but not affiliated with a side. It’s fair to say he doesn’t like the CNN vs. Fox thing.”

Corporate broadcast news execs are slowly realizing that most Americans are sick of the left wing bias that permeates the news. As we all know, there are very few independent alternatives for information derived purely from the facts and not opinions.

Consumers are demanding less political bias, and it seems the media giants are finally starting to listen. However, this shift toward objectivity doesn’t come without harsh criticism from radical leftists who depend on weaponized news in order to survive. For instance, there appears to be a growing number of far-left figures participating in the newly founded “Boycott CNN” movement.

Former Finance Chair for Barack Obama, Jon Cooper, was one of the first to announce his displeasure, saying that he “decided to #BoycottCNN as soon as the network began its shift to the right.” Cooper went further with his disapproval of CNN, stating, “It was a tough decision since I’ve been a devout CNN viewer since I was in my 20s. If I wanted to watch right-wing propaganda, I’d watch Fox. So for now, it’s ONLY MSNBC for me.”

The most extreme Leftists aren’t going to be happy with this trend, but this is very good news for our divided country.
